Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach is a spectacle. You’ve most likely never seen a surf shop as big or as over the top as this place. Calling it a surf shop almost doesn’t do it justice. It’s basically a Walmart-sized monument to surf culture.
Personally, I prefer the smaller local surf shops with a little more character. But Ron Jon is something you need to witness at least once. Even if you don’t buy anything, go inside, walk around, and marvel at the sheer size of the place. There’s surf gear, clothing, boards, souvenirs, and seemingly everything else you could possibly put a surf logo on.
It’s enormous, ridiculous, impressive, and absolutely worth seeing.
Then go find a local surf shop and give them a little love too. 😉

Just got my order 2 days ago, 3 shorts, 2 t shirts and a hoodie with a free sticker. I met Ron DiMenna or Ron jon as everyone called him over 20 years ago in his store up in Cocoa Beach, I was staying at the Bed and Breakfast Beach Inn and needed beach attire for my family and I. Loved the product then and still buying the product now. He made a great company and awesome products. I hope the family does not change their values and most of all the products. Ron Jon deserves to be kept a legacy. Sorry for his passing but glad he left his brand behind.

What SurfStyle wishes it was!!! Im from NY and use to love going to the old RonJon in the 90s when we came down here for vacation.
It's been years, and let me tell you my jaw dropped when I first walked in. Not just because of the massive size, but because the atmosphere and layout is just so cool.
Prices are reasonable. In fact, I got a pair of Hey Dudes for $5 less than what the wannabe surf shop was selling them for. And of course they have all the expensive sunglasses, but they also have a huge selection of mid-tier sunglasses that are much better quality, and better looking, than cheap sunglasses you would find at a gas station. I bought multiple pair and I promise they each look like $200 sunglasses. They have every brand you can think of for sandals, swimwear, summer clothing, surfboards, skateboards, beach paraphernalia, and great souvenirs!
My only complaint is about the employees. They were very nice, but not helpful at all. It is very obvious their main focus is watching for theft. They just stand there like statues staring at customers. I asked an employee if he had my size in the back for a pair of sandals, and I was told all sizes for literally everything in the store are out on the floor. So basically he lied to me because there is no way that is true. Also, I believe it was the manager who came over to me and my fiance while we were looking at the ukuleles, said hi, but didn't ask if we needed help which we obviously did, and he just walked past like he was a random person saying hi. I would have been proactive and asked him for help, but I didnt realize he was the manager because he didnt have on the RonJon red shirt like everyone else, just a tucked-in dress shirt. Later I noticed 5 employees standing around so I put it together.
Normally, I never make complaints on any reviews, but I feel like we were in there 30 min longer than we needed to be and we are on vacation. But it really is unlikely you'll need their help so just go in there for the experience and cool stuff! And I wont penalized the store on my review because I know so many people steal these days and the store is so big they probably get hit bad by professional thieves.
