    Very shady business practices in their Jewelry department. They refuse to honor a manufacturer’s lifetime warranty unless you purchase their protection plan. I spent two weeks on this yet a completely unrelated retailer who I have never done business with is doing the manufacturer ship out. They claim that it’s for liability reasons when they assume no liability. The shipping is paid by the consumer not the retailer. Any liability would be on fedex or ups so someone can insure packages through them to prevent this. JCPenny’s protection plan appears to be a scam as in my case if I purchased it the only work JCPenny would be doing is printing a shipping label that I would pay for as they wouldn’t be doing any work or repairs themselves. Why would someone pay for insurance on an item that’s already insured?
