The guy that helped us today was very helpful attempting to understand our issues with my Dad's Gold Presidential Rolex Day-Date watch. My Dad has to wind his Rolex every two days eventhough the Rolex is self-winding and he wears the watch constantly. We are having a difficult time understanding why the watch would need winding at all, after the initial windup. I have been told this is by design. I guess it is, what it is, but we are finding it difficult to accept this answer. We may submit for a in-warranty repair on this watch. My Dad remembers that he never needed to wind his previous Submariner Rolex, but we cannot find anyone to believe us. Maybe sending the watch in for repair can get us more time before having to rewind. I know it is not the same, but my last Casio Atomic Analog-Digital watch lasted for almost 20 years with no rewinding or adjustment. Seems a Rolex watch/chronometer should last longer than 2 days to a week without rewinding. Any how, at least the sales guy was patient listening to our issues with the Rolex.

Rolex/Mayors and Claudia R. have an unbelievable ability to maintain a comfortable, friendly, and professional environment that is always welcoming and engaging. She’s never too busy to help me try on anything in the store and is always willing to breakdown the most minutia of details. I’m over the moon about my latest purchase and look forward to continuing this relationship with great people who care and honor the tradition of horology. Seriously.

***Edit, the manager of Mayors called me to explain the situation away as some sort of miscommunication and tried to placate me with an offer to “put a note in my file with no promises” with respect to all of the watches I had been a waiting for as if I could be bought off by the idea of somehow getting these watches sooner. Even if he offered me every watch in the store that day I would have said no out of principal so I told him I couldn’t do business with a store like Mayors in Boca Raton anymore and to take me off every list I had been on instead.
Then I went to JR Dunn in Pompano and immediately felt the difference in customer service unlike where Mayors expects you to grovel to them. Even better, Dmitriy was able to source a brand new Rolex that was exactly what I needed for my time sensitive wedding present within 2 days of my visit to JR Dunn. I will never go back to Mayors and I encourage everyone else to at least visit JR Dunn before deciding to do business with Mayors.

Original review:
I have had the worst experiences at this Mayors. I requested a Rolex to give as a wedding gift and after some time and following up on my side, Mel offered me one that wasn’t what I requested but would work so I immediately said I would take it and began driving to the store which was less than 30 minutes away in rush hour. 5 minutes before turning into the parking lot, Mel called me to say she just sold the watch and there was nothing else she could offer instead. Why even ask me if I was interested if you were going to pull the rug from under my feet knowing this was a time sensitive wedding gift? All Mel could say was that she didn’t want to call me in the first place cause this could’ve happened and it’s a race to get to the store. If it is a race and anyone that happens to be there that day could get a Rolex, what is the point of placing your name on the registry?
This is not even my first bad experience at Mayors. When my son was born I spoke to Donald about getting a custom piece made for my wife as a push present. I myself had to follow up repeatedly after weeks because Donald never got back to me. Finally Donald texted me bluntly to say how much the piece would cost and if I was interested. When I reasonably asked for a mockup or any indication of what it would look like before agreeing to spend thousands of dollars, he said sure but never sent me the mockup and I had to go elsewhere for my wife’s push present after being greatly delayed by Donald’s unresponsiveness.
I will never shop again at this Mayors in Boca Raton and will instead make the drive to Aventura where they treat customers far better. I will never recommend Mayors to my friends or to my clients and whoever is reading this should keep these experiences in mind before going to Mayors in Boca Raton or trying to work with Mel or Donald.
I had a great experience at Mayors in Boca Raton, and I have to give a big thank you to Claudia Y.
She helped me purchase a Cartier Santos, which is a watch I’ve wanted for a long time, and she truly made the entire process enjoyable from start to finish. Claudia Y. was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with. She took the time to walk me through everything and made sure I felt comfortable and confident with my decision.
What really stood out was how smooth and natural the experience felt. It never felt rushed or transactional, just a genuine interaction with someone who clearly knows her craft and cares about her clients.
I’m very grateful for her help and will definitely be working with Claudia Y. again in the future. Highly recommend asking for her if you’re visiting the Boca Raton location.

I had an outstanding experience working with Charles. From the very beginning, his knowledge, patience, and attention to detail made all the difference. He didn’t just try to sell me a watch, he truly guided me through the entire process, making sure I understood every option and felt confident in my decision.
His expertise and passion for watches really show, and you can tell he genuinely cares about delivering the best experience possible.
If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, professional, and extremely knowledgeable to help you with your watch purchase, Charles is the person to go to. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and the overall experience.
Highly recommend!
