  I had a very disappointing experience at the Ralph Lauren Georgetown location. I have been a loyal Ralph Lauren customer for more than 30 years and regularly wear Ralph Lauren Purple Label, so I was genuinely looking forward to visiting the store and browsing with my partner. Unfortunately, from the moment we entered, we were never greeted, acknowledged, or asked if we needed assistance. What made the experience particularly troubling was watching an associate walk directly over to a white male customer who entered the store and immediately ask if he needed assistance, while my partner and I continued to receive no acknowledgment whatsoever. We walked throughout the store, completed an entire lap, and eventually left without a single employee speaking to us. I understand that retail stores can become busy and that associates may be assisting other customers. However, a simple “Welcome” or “Please let me know if I can assist you” is a basic standard of customer service—particularly for a brand that positions itself around a premium shopping experience. The difference between how we were treated and the immediate attention given to another customer was noticeable and deeply disappointing. After supporting Ralph Lauren and shopping at the Georgetown location for more than three decades, this was not the level of service or customer experience I expected from the brand. I hope Ralph Lauren management takes this feedback seriously and reinforces with its team that every customer who walks through the door deserves to be welcomed, acknowledged, and treated with the same level of respect and professionalism.

  Woman at the door was sweet, everyone else working in the store had an unsettling/unwelcoming aura, frankly. The clothing displayed did look fabulous.
