  I brought in several beautiful, high-end pieces from ALO, Beyond Yoga, and Lululemon, all in great condition, only to have them rejected because of some minor pilling. Now, normally I would understand having quality standards. But here’s where it gets ridiculous: take a walk around the store, and you’ll find plenty of clothing with visible pilling, holes, discoloration, and obvious signs of wear. So apparently, minor pilling is unacceptable when you’re trying to SELL them quality clothing, but perfectly acceptable when they’re trying to SELL clothing to customers? Make it make sense. These weren’t cheap, worn-out, no-name items. These were quality pieces from sought-after brands, in very good condition. The inconsistency in their standards was honestly baffling. But here’s the best part: Rather than take my beautiful clothes home, I gave them away FOR FREE to another customer in the store, who was absolutely thrilled to have them. So at least someone walked out of Plato’s Closet with a great deal that day. And ironically, it wasn’t because of Plato’s Closet. Disappointing experience, inconsistent standards, and definitely not somewhere I’d rush back to sell my clothes.

  I hate shopping for clothes, feels like a waste of money, so after my wife brought me to Plato's, I instantly loved their selection of quality, mostly like new, clothes for a fraction of the cost of new purchases. Also, feels good to do something that's good for the environment. Will be back!

  I searched online to make sure my clothes were acceptable since I’ve never been to Plato’s Closet. They only want HIGH end things! They don’t take SHEIN which online says otherwise. Online should state that each store varies on what is accepted. I had clothes from LOFT, Michael Korrs, Charlotte Russe, old navy. Shoes from converse, Jordans, and vans. They didn’t take anything but 1 Essentials sweater and offered $4. Laughable. Won’t be doing this again!

  Horrible service, this is like a Goodwill with standards of a store who sells brand new clothes. I don’t think they know the meaning of thrifted clothes.
