  Very disappointed with my experience at the DSW in Enfield. I purchased a pair of sneakers for my daughter for back to school on August 31. By September 3, after only a few days, the threads were already pulling out of the shoes. When I brought them back, I was given a difficult time about exchanging them because of the condition of the threads—even though that was exactly why I was returning them. I exchanged them for the exact same style and also paid to have the replacement pair sprayed with the shoe protector offered in the store. When we got home and my daughter went to put them on, we discovered there was already a stain on the tongue of one of the shoes that had been hidden underneath the shoelaces. I went back to the store again later that same day to return the second pair. At that point, I asked about ordering a new pair online since I had now had issues with two pairs from the store. I specifically asked whether I would have to pay AGAIN for the protective spray when the new pair arrived, considering I had already paid for it on a pair I had to return because it was sold to me stained. I was told to come back when the new shoes arrived and ask for Cassie or Mika and that they would take care of it. My husband went in today with the new pair, but neither Cassie nor Mika was there. Unfortunately, another manager named Nancy gave him a very difficult time and ultimately made us pay for the protective spray again, despite what I had previously been told. At this point, we have made multiple trips to this store over one pair of back-to-school sneakers. The first pair started coming apart within days, the replacement pair was sold to us already stained, and then we were given conflicting information by management and charged twice for a service because of a situation we did not cause. I understand that defective or stained merchandise can happen. What is frustrating is how unnecessarily difficult the store made it to resolve the problem and the lack of consistency between managers. After multiple trips and all of this inconvenience, I expected much better customer service and for the store to simply honor what I had already been told.

  Staff is always helpful and nice. Store is clean and organized.
