- MAMir AlviJun 28, 20261.0I had two very different experiences at Caleb's. On my first visit, David young kid was outstanding—friendly, energetic, patient, and a great listener. As a first-time fishing gear buyer, he took the time to explain everything, and I was ready to make a purchase. A few days later, I returned with my wife, but David was off. We were referred to Ben. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Instead of listening to what we needed, he spent most of the time talking about his years of experience and didn't seem interested in helping us choose the right gear. We felt uncomfortable and decided to leave without buying anything. We then went to Dick's Sporting Goods, where the manager and staff provided excellent customer service. It's unfortunate because we had hoped to buy from Caleb's.

He spent 20 minutes or more getting my sons bow set up correctly. He then had him shoot numerous arrows down range with very helpful advice throughout!! Setup was free, advice was free, and Alans time was free. I couldnt have asked for better service. Alan is a very valuable employee. You cant train that. I certainly hope Bass Pro Shops is taking good care of him. He deserves more than you pay him Im sure.
- JPJohn PupeckiJun 9, 20261.0Five years ago during COVID before we moved we bought two lounges from Cabela's that had to be shipped to us through FEDEX. One was severely damaged as the box was smashed. One plastic arm rest was cracked and the frame of the lounge was bent. FEDEX denied our claim as there were skid marks on the chair. So it was damaged at the warehouse and tossed around out of the box. Then put back into the box and sent to us. Cabelas blamed Fedex and we got nothing but grief. So if you can't see and touch it don't buy it unless you can inspect it before you bring it home. Hard and expensive lesson to learn.
