Unfortunately, there was a disgruntled employee that was obviously having a bad day, she was very rude to my wife. When my wife went to try on a pair of jeans, she replied to her. After being asked to open the door for the fitting room, are you actually going to buy it or just try it on?, We didn't appreciate that rudeness at all. Most likely we will never come back because of this experience. As far as you having a bad day we hope it gets better and maybe you find a way to leave your anger and rudeness at home.

Not the shallow selection you’d expect from a general merchandise store. Real tools, real depth. The firearm section deserves a mention too. It’s set up thoughtfully and staffed by people who know what they’re talking about without making you feel like you need to justify why you’re there. Speaking of staff, that’s the quiet thing that sets this location apart. Nobody’s hovering, nobody’s pushing, but when you actually need help, someone shows up and knows their stuff. That combination is rarer than it should be. Whether you’re outfitting a horse, building something, or just grabbing gear for the weekend, Murdoch’s in Salida is the kind of store that makes you glad it exists. Highly recommend.
