  Over the past several years I have learned not to call any of the Cabela's Gun Libraries, as it is impossible to get a live person or even a return call. However, I now stand corrected. Last month I saw a gun on their website that caught my attention. I inquired online, but also decided to call the store because I wanted more info. After sending the email request, I made the call expecting to be greeted by voicemail once again. What I experienced was quite the opposite: my call was answered by the second ring, and as I was talking to the person in the Library, I received a response to my email! I'm not sure what has changed, but it's very impressive. The person in the Library, whose name I believe was Skee or Skip, was awesome. He offered to pull the gun, then called me back and we went over all the particulars I needed. He even offered to send me additional photos. Although it turned out the gun was not what I was looking for, the customer service certainly exceeded what I would expect.

  I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Cabela’s. During my visit, I was approached by seven different employees asking me to apply for a Cabela’s credit card. I understand that employees may be expected to promote the credit card, but being approached repeatedly by seven different employees was excessive. I declined each time, yet the solicitation continued. The most frustrating interaction occurred with the employee near the checkout area. By that point, I had already been asked numerous times and had clearly stated that I was not interested. Despite my repeated refusal, he continued trying to sell me the credit card. I made it clear that I wanted to be left alone, but he continued with the sales pitch. There is a significant difference between making a customer aware of an offer and repeatedly pressuring a customer after they have clearly said no. Once I declined, particularly after already being approached by multiple employees, I expected my answer to be respected. I am asking Cabela’s management to address how this credit card promotion is being handled in the store. Customers should not have to repeatedly decline the same offer throughout a single shopping visit or feel pressured after explicitly asking to be left alone. This experience was unacceptable and significantly affected my impression of the store. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and ensures that customers’ boundaries are respected going forward.

  Excellent customer service. Curt the fly guy was amazing!! I’ve never learned so much about fly fishing in such a short time. Really amazing.

  I went into this location to get a scope put on my rifle and when I walked in they were very friendly and helped inspect my gun and brought it to the back. There were some complications with the rail and rings I already had and Carson did a great job of resolving the issue and even paying for the rail despite the issue with it being my own fault and not the stores. I highly recommend this store and will be returning!

  We always stop here returning to Texas from Estes Park. Has a great selection of outdoor gear. Bought some great sleeping bags last year. This year Pen a salesperson put us onto some nice sturdy light weight chairs. Also love their Redhead cargo pants. Found some Redhead Tees on sale and scooped them up for neighbors watching the house. Tks Pen!
