I’ve never been to a toy store before, but I would’ve expected better customer service being a happy place for children. First, the two employees working during my visit didn’t even acknowledge me. I then overheard a customer asking a tall male employee when an item would be back in stock. He loudly replied, “I don’t know when we’ll get a shipment, but you can follow us on social media to find out.” When she tried to ask another question, he interrupted her with, “Nope, follow us on social media.” He came across as dismissive and unwilling to help, and at that point I didn’t even feel comfortable asking him for help with what I was looking for (not that they asked). Maybe he was having a bad day, but that’s no excuse for interrupting and dismissing a customer who was simply asking for help.

This store is nice and lots of toys. It was fairly expensive but that’s to be expected. Staff were friendly. Price is what drove to a 4 instead of 5 star.

The coolest toy store I've ever been in. Could live there. I am well into adulthood, lol. Lots of very niche and cool items. It is our go-to toy store since Amazon/walmart/target are selling third party items now. It is on the pricey side, but worth it to me. Plus they have Mr. paul the storytime reader who is...maybe the best storytime entertainment I've ever seen. Does balloon animals, puppets, reading, singing, magic. You can hire him, but the storytimes are FREE!

I’ve been a customer of Timbuk Toys for over 10 years and have spent a lot of money there over the years, often bringing my grandchildren with me. Sadly, after my most recent visit, I’m seriously reconsidering whether I’ll be returning. While in the store, I overheard employees behind the counter discussing LGBTQ-related topics. Regardless of anyone’s personal views, I don’t believe those kinds of conversations belong in a toy store where families and young children are present. As a grandparent, I expect the focus to be on customer service and creating a welcoming environment for everyone. The conversation made me uncomfortable, and I did not feel it was appropriate for my grandchildren to be hearing while shopping. It’s disappointing because this was once one of my favorite local stores, but the atmosphere no longer feels as family-oriented as it used to. I hope management takes customer concerns seriously and keeps employee conversations professional while on the sales floor.
