I stopped in to have a look around, the music in here was loud, it was hard to hear any of the Associates in the store, only one employee actually came up to me asking if I needed help, the others just stood behind the Counter chatting, which is a bit rude and unprofessional in My opinion as someone that used to work in retail, This store is clean and well stocked, I enjoyed browsing the new Halloween collection.

My partner and I came in today looking for the black and white Premium Old School Vans (with the cushion) for $90-95. I really liked them for my sister because they were simple, but with a more supporting sole. Jasmine approached my partner and I and I asked if she had this shoe in a size 7.5 and pointed at the shoe. She was very welcoming and nice, she offered to check for us in the back. We waited for a while and when she came back she came back with our size. I was like awesome! I didn’t bother to open the box since I trusted we got the shoes we wanted. After paying I saw I spent $180+ on my purchase of shoes and two sets of socks. I was like hmmm that was kind of a lot for simple shoes. I decided to read the box again to make sure it was the ones I asked for. Upon opening, I saw I got the Brown Premium Old Skool 36 Shoe which had turquoise blue jewels and leather laces. A completely different shoe than what I asked. I was like aw maybe I pointed at the wrong ones. Or hey maybe it was a simple mistake. After going back and checking the display, I saw the shoes I purchased were no where next to the ones I asked. I was like hmmm. I saw Jasmine come out again and said hey I think I got the wrong shoes. I opened the box and showed her the brown vans and mentioned I was looking for the simple black ones. She cut me off stating that she didn’t have them in black anymore. She tried to convince I originally asked for the pros which are a little bit thicker soles. Which is true, but I didn’t ask for the more expensive ones with jewels and leather on them. Instead of getting charged $90 I got charged $150 for shoes I did not want. To add on, she was trying to convince me that I didn’t want those because those are for skaters and if my sister isn’t a skater she want those. I felt a bit gas lit at this point, because she was making it seem like I asked for the brown shoes with turquoise beads. When I know I’d never ask for overly accessorized shoes for my sister who’s a bit more tom boyish. I left feeling not great. Instead of saying hey simple mistake, my fault, it seemed like she was trying to deflect the blame on me. I know simple mistakes happen. I work in retail job too. Just sucks to be talked to that way. I decided to just get a refund and look for other shoes else where.
