  Unacceptable Treatment at Sunglass Hut The day after purchasing a pair of sunglasses, my wife returned to the store to inquire whether the frames could be adjusted and tightened. Initially, the first salesperson she spoke with was courteous, professional, and genuinely tried to assist her. However, the situation changed when another employee, Alexis, became involved. My wife felt that she treated her in a disrespectful and confrontational manner. As a result of this interaction, my wife decided that she no longer wished to keep the product and requested a refund. At that point, Alexis refused to process the return and informed my wife that she was trespassing, insisting that she leaves the store without receiving a refund for her purchase. My wife stepped outside and considered contacting the police as she believed she was being denied a legitimate refund. Approximately two minutes later, Alexis called her back into the store and informed her that the return would be processed after all. During this interaction, Alexis was on the phone with her manager, who stated that the refund would be issued, but also warned that if my wife chose to contact the police, they would seek to have her arrested for trespassing. We found this statement both intimidating and completely inappropriate given the circumstances. We have been a customer of Sunglass Hut for many years and have made purchases at multiple locations. Never before have we experienced such poor treatment or felt so disrespected as a customer. The behavior we encountered was unacceptable and falls far below the level of service we would expect from this company.

  Disappointing experience — staff crossed a line I’m a regular Sunglass Hut customer and visited the Lake Tahoe location at Heavenly Village. While I was browsing, my 11-year-old daughter was quietly sitting in the corner eating gummies — nowhere near the displays. A sales associate (blonde lady did not catch her name) approached her and told her not to touch the glasses, which I understood. However, she then added a condescending comment about my daughter “playing with her teeth” and repeated the warning in a humiliating tone. My daughter did nothing wrong. There is a difference between enforcing store policy and publicly shaming a child. We left without making a purchase, and my daughter was visibly embarrassed for no reason. I hope management addresses this with their team. Customers — and their children — deserve to be treated with basic respect. I will not be returning to this location.

  Eli was a great help. He was so friendly and personable. One of my screws popped off my designer sunglasses and he not only put the screw back in for me but tightened all my other ones to make sure I left the store feeling confident that my glasses were secure.
