  The store was dusty and the workers were busy chatting instead of helping the customers. Will not be coming here again.

  One star, and only because zero isn't an option. I came into the Valley Fair store with an item well within the return window. The tag was still with the garment, only the plastic fastener had broken. That was enough for the manager on duty, who gave his name as Almador, to refuse the return outright. Not an exchange. Not store credit. Not even a moment of consideration. I later called AE customer care, who told me a decision like this is normally at the manager's discretion. In the store, I was told repeatedly that it was policy and his hands were tied. Those two things can't both be true. And honestly, the refused return isn't the main reason I'm writing this. What I can't get past is how he spoke to me - dismissive, condescending, and completely uninterested in the fact that I shop at this store often. No explanation, no attempt at a middle ground, no acknowledgment that the customer in front of him was worth ten seconds of basic courtesy. If you put someone in charge of a store floor, the bare minimum is that they can deliver a "no" without making a regular customer feel like an inconvenience. That didn't happen here. I've filed this with AE directly as well.

  Wed Aug 5 2026 was able to pick up online order too bad many cute items by register ripped open and shop lifted

  i went to this location today and found some cute stuff i wanted to try on so i went in the fitting room and a worker led me to a room. i began trying stuff on and then i heard someone opening curtains to the room so just as a precaution i quickly tried on the next outfit. and thank god i did because a male worker just opened the curtains to my room just to stare at me, mumble something, then close the curtain. no warning or check to make sure no one was in there was given before he opened the curtain.
