  Staff is rude and unprofessional and accused me of being dishonest with a return purchase I’ve shopped at Nordstrom Rack for years, but my recent experience was extremely stressful. I came with a return and also got some items to purchase. When I tried to return items with a receipt and tags kept on, an associate immediately accused me of returning a broken necklace. The gold necklace was $14.99 with multiple strands, and each strand had a different design. I just assumed the two pieces that hanged down were part of the design and I tried to explain that I bought It like that. She completely disregarded what I said, grabbed the necklace from my hand and handed It to another employee and said that I was trying to return a broken necklace. I was shocked at her behavior and attack on my character. The other employee said “ since you said you bought It like that i’ll call security to look at footage of when you bought this “. Both women made me feel accused, like I was doing something intentionally wrong, rather than listening- they could have just said politely that I cannot return the item. They left me at the counter and said I had to wait for the security footage and moved onto another customer. I felt so disrespected. At that point I didn’t even want a refund anymore—I just wanted fair treatment. So I left the necklace that I had already purchased on the counter, didn’t ask for the refund anymore and said- “ I don’t even want the refund - you can keep my purchased necklace, can someone please finish my transaction for the items I am purchasing”. Another male employee finished my transaction politely and I left the store, noting the female employee name who was so rude to me - Brianna. She wore a hot pink sweater with her black hair tied back in a bun”. - giving a description in case I got the name wrong and anyone wants to go back and look at the “security footage”. Also the second employee that called security had purple in her hair and multiple face piercings- didn’t get her name. The older male employee that finished my transaction was so kind and patient and apologized on their behalf- he deserves a raise. All in all, I hope management focuses on training staff to be less accusatory and more respectful of long-time customers. Honestly after this interaction I won’t be coming back to this location. No one deserves to be treated like that. I hope that other locations actually train their staff to treat customers with care and kindness.
