- GAG AAug 12, 20262.0I visited this store today to make a return. The employee who handled the return was polite and assisted me well. Afterward, I walked around the store to see if there was anything else I might like. At one point, another employee looked at me and began walking in my direction. I assumed he was coming over to offer assistance, but instead, he went directly to rearrange the hangers in the section I had just browsed. His behavior made me feel as though I was inconveniencing him simply by looking at the merchandise, so I became uncomfortable and decided to leave the store.
- DRDylan ReimJul 31, 20261.0Employees lied to me and tricked me out of $300. Many, many stores in SF (or other branches) far more trustworthy. I was told by another branch that RL offered free tailoring, which was part of what convinced me to buy. I was traveling and they told me to contact my home branch when I returned about free sleeve alterations. I called this location multiple times, speaking to two different employees who each assured me sleeve alterations would be covered and gave me the name and address of their partner tailor. When I went to collect my items, the tailor charged me an exorbitant fee (nearly $400) for a the alterations. The manager at RL, a woman whose name starts with J, got on the phone and outright lied to my face, claiming that no one in the store ever sent me to their tailor or said tailoring was covered. When pressed, she conceded that someone *had* said that, but that she doesn’t intend to honor it. She then recommended I haggle with their tailor myself (mind you, I was already in a back office of an empty and locked building that her store had sent me to when she told me to fend for myself. If I was a woman, this could have been a genuinely traumatic situation). She then hung up as fast as she could. This was a deeply, deeply unprofessional experience that is not befitting of the prices RL charges. If you value your sanity and your dollar, look elsewhere.
