  Absolutely ABYSMAL customer service which seems to be a pattern here. The salesman with the long white hair is obviously judgemental of anyone he thinks “can’t afford” to be in that store, and most of the reviews of this store seem to corroborate this. A group of us walk in together, we are well dressed, if casual, and as I sit down to let my wife, who he saw me walk in with, shop for her birthday he comes up and asks me if I am with the group I just walked in with and the women I just kissed. I am guessing it was because I am covered in tattoos, but Mate, it’s 2024- A LOT OF RICH PEOPLE HAVE TATTOOS. We had just come from Dior where the customer service was excellent, so it was kind of a shock to walk back into 1984. Despite the abysmal treatment from a Cold War relic, my wife bought a pair of sunglasses. We left hoping to never see him again but fate had other ideas. My wife’s father bought her the same glasses. We went back the following week to return or exchange them- UNUSED, UNWORN with receipt and still in the box. He takes them out of the box with his fingers then says he can’t return them because of a smudge….the smudge he had JUST PUT ON THEM while taking them out of the box. This will definitely be taken up the chain and judging from the comments he should have been fired an long time ago. There is no place for that kind of behavior in the world anymore. People who have money to spend can look like anything. DG needs to update their sales people and give them a little training. The DG we went to in Europe greeted me with champagne and had my son try on everything, and I was on holiday looking like an absolute dirtbag. Get with the times DG San Francisco.
