I have genuinely never been treated with this level of disrespect by a retail employee.
The employee, Thea Garrido (a young Asian woman with bleached hair and blue streaks), was unbelievably rude, condescending, and unprofessional from the moment I asked a simple question about my refund. Instead of explaining the situation, she spoke down to me, acted as if I was stupid, and repeatedly dismissed my concerns. Her attitude was incredibly hostile over what should have been a routine customer service interaction.
What shocked me the most was how comfortable she seemed behaving this way. She raised her voice at me in front of other customers, laughed when I asked for her name, and literally said, "Yeah, report me if you want." I've never had an employee openly encourage me to file a complaint because they clearly didn't think there would be any consequences.
What makes this even worse is that she was wrong. After I had left, another Ray-Ban store confirmed that the information I had been given was incorrect. Instead of simply admitting the mistake, she lied to the other Ray-Ban store.
I've been a Ray-Ban customer for years, and this experience was honestly embarrassing. No customer deserves to be talked down to, mocked, or treated with this level of arrogance for asking a perfectly reasonable question. If this is how customers are treated at the UTC location, management seriously needs to address it.
