  Was pretty surprised when the store smelled so awful like rotting and so many associates looked very pale and sick. They really need to fix all the black mold exploding out of the walls in the back. It's an egregious public health hazard at this point.

  Honestly not the best experience today for my first time booking an altering consultation. The lady who set me up in the room was nice and then I heard knocking next room over so I came out to see if the lady my appointment with was there and she came in and I greeted her asking if she was Aimee and she took that as I wanted Aimee- I didn’t care but was just greeting and making sure I was the person she was also looking for (I don’t know how their appointment system works) anyways after I reassure her I don’t care since she kept asking if I want Aimee- I show her what I want taken up. She tells me first hand that I will have to pay since my dress is from the rack and I’m like okay well the appointment I booked was for a consultation so can I have a consultation to see how much? I didn’t have my shoes but I assured her I just want it taken up and an estimate. The fabric is super basic and not lined, the original sew work is not even that great. Literally a $50 dress. She looks at it to check and then tells me $60-$80. I’m like $60? Okay ya that’s a bit much for what it is so then I say thanks and she leaves. Yes it didn’t work out price wise- can’t believe it would cost that much for something so basic, I thought I just come here since I love Nordstrom and my Nordstrom card account always says I have a $ amount in alterations which apparently doesn’t work for the rack but really it was the experience that felt so brash and unwelcoming. Maybe I should have waited for the girl my appointment was or maybe these are all freelance people that Nordstrom hires idk. Either way def won’t come here for any needs outside of regular Nordstrom clothes. Oh I also brought in 2 other items but didn’t even bother asking even though they were hanging in the room.

  Andreas men’s department at Nordstrom Fashion Valley in San Diego was super helpful and provided excellent customer service. He helped me with the fitting before my purchase, and when I needed to make a return, he made the entire process smooth, quick, and easy. Great guy, very professional, patient, and genuinely helpful. Definitely appreciate the service and highly recommend Andreas!

  The absolute most unprofessional store I’ve ever been to. I went in there to buy a simple pillow and was greeted with a lady that was there on her second day did not know how to use the computer checked inventory, check stock and back and then when I asked for a manager, she said that her manager has left her there for over an hour and says she’s busy and she has to figure it out on her own. How can anyone figure out their job on the second day? This was in the bedding department of Nordstrom fashion Valley. The manager‘s name was Sydney was very unprofessional. Did not even have the pillows that she had on stock and then tried to bring out cheap ones from the back to offer those instead, and then when I asked to see the quality if she could open one for a sample so I could see if it was the same material she refused and said you can feel it through the plastic when it was rolled up and all the air was taken out of it will not return to the store because of how Sydney treated her employees shame on this department shame on the store do better do not leave employees on their own on their second day.
