In the last few visits I have been repeatedly harassed to provide my phone number after politely rejecting. I do not feel like dealing with endless spam calls that will occur after DSW sells my information to a data broker. The cashiers will continually push and vaguely threaten that we cannot proceed with the transaction unless I “agree” to provide a phone number. In my most recent experience an incredibly rude woman explained the concept of “saving money” to me, while my husband and I patiently waited for her spiel to finish, only to politely decline for the final time. I thought I was unlucky the first two times with poorly trained employees; the third time I recognized that either they are trained to be this aggressive to capture your phone number for metrics and brokers, OR they simply feel comfortable hiring inadequate customer service providers. Either way, I will no longer be returning. I bought multiple pairs of shoes a year here and DSW can enjoy no longer receiving my patronage due to their invasive and incessant customer service.
