  Recently had a my father’s 25+ year old Rolex sent in for a full service. Choose to use Devon’s in Roseville to send it in to the factory for us. Estimated quote was $1600 and 4-6 weeks. 4 weeks go by no update, no problem it was still with in the quoted time. 8 weeks go by no call or update, fine a few weeks delayed, no issues. 12 weeks go by - 3 months! I call in and inquire about my service, spoke to a younger man, gave him my invoice number and name, seemed like he couldn’t find my records. Asked to give me a call back tomorrow so he could do more research on where the watch was. This got me concerned. Days go by, no call backs no updates. 2 weeks go by. I call back again. Spoke with another guy, told him I was expecting a call back from two weeks ago. Gave him the same info from my invoice and told him I want to speak with the GM, gave me Dave’s contact. He said he would like to research this and get back to me. I told him that’s what the last guy told me too and never did. Two days go by and I get a VM, they found my father’s watch, said it just arrived, which I don’t believe at all. No apologies no ownership of the situation. Not even a calm back from the GM. I think the watch was received a while back and they dropped the ball on calling me back, plain and simple. If they had just owned up to it, that would have been fine. I’ve been to many Rolex ADs, have purchased 9 Rolexes - not the most but a decent amount. Would expect amazing service during the sale and after. This was not the case here unfortunately.

  Today I had the pleasure of meeting Sam at DeVons Jewelers to try on some Rolex watches. Much to my delight, the three specific models I was interested, they had on display. Sam was very helpful and kind and showed me the watches and explained the process. I very much look forward to working with Sam.

  Mixed experience with Devon’s. Some of their associates are lovely and I bought a bracelet for my fiance she really enjoys. The Rolex AD side of their business is as shady as many of the others you’d read about - pay to play, tried to encourage me towards Tudor, lower demand watch options within Rolex catalogue, total lack of transparency and honesty with the whole “waitlist” game. Typical Rolex games that are turning off watch enthusiasts and regular buyers.

  Mixed experience with DeVons. A few of the associates are really lovely and helpful. Bought a beautiful bracelet for my fiance here and appreciated their help. The Rolex side of the business is disappointing as they play all the traditional AD games everyone is tired of - tried to push me towards Tudor pieces, encouraged me to look at less desired pieces, played the "waitlist" game with no end in sight. Decent spot, but would expect the same lack of transparency / games you get from most Rolex ADs today.

  This is a comment on an authorized dealer of Rolex, which follows extremely closely with the entire ridiculous paradigm of Rolex authorized dealerships, which means that they will not sell you a watch directly. You have to establish a “relationship“ which basically means you have to buy other jewelry or watches and then they get to decide who they choose to sell a Rolex to after being on the list for six months to a year, which of Claris is an absolutely ridiculous proposition and frankly colors the entire customer experience at this jewelry dealership. They play games. Everyone knows that most authorize like dealers sell, at least half that more of their allocated inventory on the Gray market and this place is no different.
