I don’t typically take time out of my day to write reviews, but I was honestly very disappointed by my experience at this location today, 8/8/2026, around 12:30 PM.
I had actually gone in the previous day to return a bag that I had not used. Mary assisted me and approved the return without any issues. Although she did mention I could only exchange not return the item because it was past the 30 days. She was very kind and professional, so I appreciated her help.
I returned today because I needed to resolve the return. The employee at the front (I didn’t get her name)looked up my account and noticed that the purchase was over 30 days old. I explained that the item had not been used, and she initially told me she could make an exception, but that it would be an exchange rather than a return. She told me I could look around the store for something to exchange it for.
While I was looking, I noticed her speaking with her colleague, Allyssa. Earlier, I also noticed the two employees discussing my return in front of another customer who was being checked out. I could clearly tell the conversation was about my return, and I noticed both the customer and the employees looking in my direction. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
When I eventually brought an item to the register to exchange, Allyssa told me that I could not exchange it because the original item appeared to have been used. This was frustrating because the item was not used, and the employee had already told me that an exchange could be made, so why would they wait for me to shop around and then tell me the item was not able to be exchanged. I ultimately went to another location and was able to complete the return without any issues.
The inconsistency between employees, the way my situation was discussed in front of other customers, and the overall demeanor of the staff made this an unpleasant experience. I believe the employees at this location could benefit from better training on customer service, communication, and handling customer concerns privately and professionally.
I want to emphasize that my issue is not simply that the return was questioned. I understand that stores have policies. My concern is how the situation was handled and the lack of professionalism and consistency throughout the interaction.
Like many other reviewers have mentioned, their return policy is ridiculous. I was trying to return my pants didn't fit. The employee told me I can't return because the pants have been worn and there was a discount or something.
Then, the employee picked up the pants, smelled them, and, with a look of obvious disgust, said, "it smells bad." That comment was completely unnecessary, humiliating, and unprofessional. If customers can't return because it had been worn or bought with discounts, simply explain the policy. There was absolutely no reason to make a personal, judgmental comment or embarrass a paying customer. No customer should feel judged or disrespected by your retail employees. We spend my money not because we want to be shamed.
I've been a customer of Lululemon for years, and I honestly don't understand how returning an online order in-store is still this painful & frankly, PATHETIC.
I recently went in to return a pair of shorts. I had the RECEIPT. I had the order confirmation. The tags were still attached. In any normal retail environment, this should have been a 60-second transaction.
Instead, it turned into a 10-minute interrogation/fiasco.
Phone number. Email address. More questions. More searching. More waiting. Then the order somehow couldn't be found in the system despite the fact that the receipt was literally scanned right in front of me.
And to make matters worse, the manager at this Pasadena location helping me had a level of attitude that suggested I was asking for a personal favor rather than exercising a standard return policy.
What frustrates me most is that this isn't ONE isolated incident. This is the THIRD time I've experienced the exact same NONSENSE at Lululemon. At some point, it stops being bad luck and starts becoming a broken process.
If an item is unworn, tags attached, receipt present, and within the return window, why is this so difficult?
Customers should not feel guilty, questioned, or inconvenienced for making a legitimate return. I don't need to provide a dissertation on why I'm returning a pair of shorts. Sometimes something doesn't fit. Sometimes I change my mind. That's retail.
Lululemon makes okay products(the quality has gone to CRAP over the past years, to be expected, 99% of the companies out there SKIMPING on QUALITY but jacking up their prices), but the return experience feels stuck in another decade. Meanwhile, companies like Trader Joe's have figured out that making things easy for customers creates loyalty, not suspicion. You don't even need a Receipt at Trader Joes to return something!!
FIX YOUR SYSTEM, Lululemon. Streamline the process. And please train managers to treat customers like people instead of problems.
Buying from Lululemon is always easy because of course it is. Returning something shouldn't feel like applying for a mortgage. IM SICK OF IT!!!
我今天去修改裤脚、MeIanie非常热情、细心,帮我参考裤长,裤脚改的非常合体。

Had merch in hand for purchase, was asking for assistance as the only sales "bro" was helping another "bro" and brushed me off as I made a request for additional sizes for gifts. Gave a bad vibe. Kept chatting with the customer as I waited there from patiently to impatiently after 10 minutes, put all the merch back and decided to leave. Smh if you don't value each and every customer then you lose biz, easy business model.
