  Excellent store. Employees were knowledgeable and helpful without being overbearing. Clean and organized environment, with lots of inventory to choose from. The high tech body measuring system is a great addition and made me feel confident that the clothing I purchased would fit properly. My salesperson Phillip was very helpful and affable. My only possible complaint would be that the prices seem a bit high, but considering what you get for the money I think it's probably worth it. All in all a great shopping experience.

  My experience with DXL over the past six years has been disappointing. DXL markets itself as a big and tall store, yet it often feels like it primarily serves customers in the 1X, 2X, and 3X range. Finding 5X, 6X, or tall sizes can be very difficult. When I spoke with an employee about this, they acknowledged that larger sizes are stocked in much smaller quantities. Unfortunately, there seemed to be little concern about the issue. One of the most disappointing aspects is the lack of enthusiasm from some employees about the products they sell. Customer service feels indifferent, and when I asked for help with my account and rewards information, I was told to go to the website rather than receiving assistance in the store. The pricing has also become harder to justify. Even before the pandemic, DXL’s clothing was expensive, but the lack of coupons and promotions today makes it even more difficult to spend $55 or more on a basic shirt. I remember when there were regular coupons, tailoring offers, and rewards that made shopping feel worthwhile. Those benefits seem to have largely disappeared. The store now feels more like a boutique focused on premium brands such as Polo and Lucky Brand. There is nothing wrong with carrying those brands, but it appears to come at the expense of variety, affordability, and availability in the larger sizes that many customers need. As someone who has shopped at DXL for Decades, I feel the company has moved away from serving the full big-and-tall community. If larger customers cannot reliably find their sizes in the store, then it becomes difficult to call it a true big-and-tall retailer.
