  Dropped in today to do a return of a pair of jeans that I purchased. Not quite the fit. I thought that they were going to be during my last minute purchase at closing time. The return today was totally easy. Return for store credit for a future purchase because I know I'll be back. Interesting thing I found out today. The point of sales systems at each Plato's closet location around the Bay Area are not interconnected. But if you take your receipt for store credit over to the other location and explain what you want, along with the receipt, they should be able to accommodate. Since I'm going to be over in San Mateo, I just might try it with the San Mateo location since I'm needing another pair of jeans anyway. I totally recommend Plato's Closet not just for their selection, but also for their customer service!

  I had a very disappointing experience here, mostly because of an employee named Allie. From the moment we walked in, there was no greeting or welcome just a rude attitude and unfriendly looks. We asked where the manager was because we had previously met her regarding a play, and Allie immediately responded, "I don't know who you're referring to," in a dismissive tone. While our items were being evaluated, another employee had placed several items in the "accept" pile, but Allie started pulling items back out and rejecting them. She also claimed they don't take Crocs, even though there were plenty of Crocs for sale throughout the store. When we politely pointed this out, Allie became defensive and told us, "You don't have to sell here." That was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. In the end, they offered only $27 for around 15 items, which was disappointing on top of the poor customer service. The low offer wasn't even the worst part but it was how we were treated. Customer service matters, and Allie made us feel unwelcome from the second we walked in. Based on this experience, I would not recommend selling here if you expect respectful or friendly service.
