Bird Street Thrift functions both as a vocational training facility, as well as a fund-raising endeavor. New Life Recovery Students assist with the day-to-day operation of the store receiving work-experience in cashiering, warehousing, merchandising, stocking, and janitorial duties.
The Thrift Store also supports the participants at the emergency shelter by keeping the clothing closets on-site well stocked.
