Amazing store! Love all the good finds. I’ve been coming here over a year now and selling my clothes. All the work members are amazing. Except one. She was a tall skinny girl in a blue hoodie and pink shorts. I asked for a dressing room and she told me to go wait by the rooms I waited for about 8 minutes before letting myself in. She was on her phone the entire time. I went to check out she was still on her phone playing rap music that was not filtered. I was there for a minute or two which is fine it was until she looked over and said “put your stuff on the counter honey” and not in a sweet welcome way in an attitude way. She was also talking bad about white guys saying she dated one as white as they can get. I was offended by that. Never had this experience with this store all the employees are so amazing and sweet until this one. Definitely would come back still, just disappointed.

This location took my merchandise and failed to actually pay me or have a manger/supervisor reach out . The employees or owner there must have some type of scam going on to steal people’s merchandise. They say to use a text to pay and that’s where you will never actually get the funds from the transaction. Eveyone from this location was no help not only did they not pay me but they refused to answer their phones for over a week . Hoping I would forget out the whole ordeal . I absolutely would not shop here and I would stay far away from the workers at this location everything gave me a bad feeling when I walked in .

I love shopping at Plato’s Closet Monterey. The variety of clothing and accessories is amazing and I always find great bargains that make me feel like I’m discovering hidden treasures. The store has a lot of character and the friendly staff make browsing feel relaxed and fun. It’s definitely my go‑to thrift store near me for unique finds.
