- ABAj BakshiAug 15, 20261.0The cashier and returns service at the Manteca JCPenney is one of the slowest I have ever experienced. There is absolutely zero sense of urgency. Customers are left standing in line for an unreasonable amount of time, even when there are only one or two people ahead. Employees move as if customers’ time simply does not matter. What is even more disappointing is that this doesn’t appear to be an isolated employee issue. Employees don’t seem concerned, supervisors don’t seem concerned, and management clearly isn’t paying enough attention to the customer experience. Retail stores cannot expect customers to keep coming back when something as basic as paying for a purchase or making a return becomes frustrating and unnecessarily time-consuming. Poor service drives customers away. If the Manteca JCPenney wants people to continue shopping there, management seriously needs to address staffing, employee accountability, speed of service, and basic customer care.

I like to feel and look at the material, I was in a hurry when I purchased these. Should have taken more time, my bad. I try to support the brick and mortar but its getting harder to do. Even the pricing is more at the store. I'll maybe take a closer look at some catalogs.

They go above and beyond to create a safe, comfortable shopping environment, which makes it much easier for parents to browse without constantly worrying. Their customer service is consistently friendly and helpful, and they have a great selection of clothing, home goods, and seasonal items at reasonable prices. It’s refreshing to shop at a store that truly values its customers and supports the family-friendly spirit of our community. Highly recommend!
