Such a great experience. I walked in not knowing at all what I wanted but David and Robert really took the time to have me try on many styles, I walked out with a pair I never would have tried on myself! I will definitely be back for the Meta glasses they showed me, I just wasn’t ready for them quite yet but the demo they showed me made me realize how useful they will be in the future!

I unfortunately am not able to rate this store negatively, but if I could, I would. I was in today shopping with my friend, who purchased two pairs of sunglasses. As soon as we walked in, the middle eastern lady with the head scarf, who seemed to be the only employee in the store, immediately began giving my friend dirty looks. As we were trying on a pair of dirty glasses that we wiped with our shirt, she so rudely raised her voice and said don’t wipe those they are going to get damaged. We put them down and walked away. She proceeded to show me Meta Glasses and when I asked her if they could translate to Armenian, she looked to my friend with disgust and said no rudely and walked away. It is no mystery as to why this employee was so rude. As soon as she figured out my friend was an Armenian Christian, she couldn’t help but externalize her racism. After countless dirty looks and rolling her eyes, we headed to checkout. When my friend kindly asked her to remove the warranty, she said “I will relax.” Hearing that, we were both taken aback. My friend said “excuse me?” and she proceeded to lie about how we were actually the rude ones. We told her to pull up the cameras and she continued laughing. I then got involved and told her there was no reason to say relax or “don’t wipe the glasses” so rudely. I told her we ignored the many dirty looks and would have avoided this confrontation altogether had she not said relax. When asking for her name or a manager, she refused. However, the top of our receipt included her name, Fatima. I hope management of this store or the Westfield Institution handles this issue properly because ignoring countless complaints about the same employee is encouraging racism and aggression, which is completely unacceptable. I hope some resolution can be reached, this behavior is just sad.

I’d like this review to find its way to the nearest manager. Today I had the absolute pleasure of being screamed at by a worker named Fatima (who refused to provide her name, the receipt of MY PURCHASE revealed as such). Fatima began our interaction by aggressively telling me not to clean a dirty oily pair of sunglasses with my t-shirt. I obliged with not one comment. I proceed to find two glasses I liked and headed to check out. Upon kindly asking to have the protecting plan removed, Fatima told me to relax, aggressively and rudely. Herein lies where Fatima’s RACISM towards Armenian Christians unfolds. Fatima tells me I have been aggressive to her, rolling my eyes, and been rude. For context, I am visibility wearing a cross, my Armenian ethnicity has been revealed in conversation with my friend, and Fatima has had attitude with me since the MOMENT this took place. Please pull up camera footage from August 5th around 5-6 pm PST to verify. Back to our conversation at check out. Fatima continues on her tirade, complaining she is not paid enough to deal with people like me. Maybe someone should address Fatima’s dissatisfaction with her job, also. I have reached out to Westfield Century City to file a formal complaint against this store for its employment of racist, unkind employees. Feel free to reach out to me for more information. A PAYING customer treated as such, for reference. Stay away from Fatima and SunGlass hut, especially if you are a visibly Christian individual. She is racist and unkind and should not hold a people facing role. Her employment by SunGlass Hut reflects their complacency in such behavior.

If there was a way to give a half-star review I would. I was shopping here with a close friend and the manager of the store, David I believe, is unbelievably rude. For context, my friend knew someone that works at this location and she came to ask questions about a sunglass she was buying. The rude and stern David, came along and said in a demeaning tone, "This is not a time to chat." He continued to indirectly tell my friend to leave the store. I was shocked. My friend has purchased from this location maybe 3 times and to disregard a customer's loyalty to the brand and have such a negative attitude is just horrible. It gets worse sadly. My friend confronted Demeaning David and said, "I was simply asking about a sunglass." He outright rejected what she said and then threatened to pull up the cameras. Much better buying sunglasses at Nordstorm because this was just a horrible experience. I'd request someone to look into David's action and conduct an employee feedback census because I'm sure they have some words to say to him as well.
