  I went to this location recently and had a really disappointing experience. One of the managers was openly talking badly about customers and had a very nasty attitude. I also overheard racial comments being made, which was honestly shocking and completely unacceptable. No one should feel uncomfortable or disrespected while shopping. Management seriously needs to address this behavior because it reflects very poorly on the store.

  I work in the same mall as Steve Madden. I purchased a pair of heels from this location and realized my mom had already ordered me the same pair, so I returned them the same day, unworn. A few weeks later, my coworker went into the store and mentioned she also works in the mall. The same employee (according to my coworker she’s possibly some kind of manager) who sold me the heels brought me up, complained that my return ruined her commission, made rude comments about me, and even made comments about my race. Someone who acts that way must be miserable, hope she finds some peace lol!

  I am disappointed by my recent experience at the Century City location. As a long-time customer, it’s frustrating to see such a well-established company fall short in basic customer service. I visited the store to return an item I had purchased just a few days prior. However, I was told that the receipt showed the item had already been returned and exchanged—which was incorrect, as the merchandise was still in my possession. Instead of properly verifying the situation, the manager took the box of shoes I had already paid for and placed it behind the register without explanation. I had to point out that the item belonged to me, which was both uncomfortable and disrespectful. To clarify the situation, I stepped out of the store and confirmed through my credit card that no return or refund had been processed. When I came back, the issue could have been resolved quickly by simply looking up my account using my phone number. Doing so showed that the item had never been returned—exactly as I had been saying from the beginning. Despite this, there was no apology. Instead, I was met with continued attitude and told that if I did not leave, security would be called on me. Being treated as though I had done something wrong—when the error was clearly on the store’s end—was both upsetting and unacceptable. It’s disappointing that a company with such a long-standing reputation would allow this level of unprofessionalism at one of its major locations. A situation that could have been resolved in minutes was unnecessarily escalated due to lack of training, poor communication, and disregard for customer respect. I hope this feedback reaches upper management, as no loyal customer should be treated this way.

  This Steve Madden store had so much to choose from. I didn’t even have to go online for the fall boots I wanted. I wasn’t even pressured into buying shoes by sales reps like other Steve Madden stores. I will be a life long customer to this store location. Customer service was great.
