  1 star. They quoted me $112/gram and paid $101. I’d call that a mistake if they hadn’t worked so hard to hide it. Brought in two 24K chains, one of which they decided was 22K. Total offer around $2,200, which works out to $101/gram- roughly 75% of spot, against the 85% minimum I’d been told and the $112 I’d been quoted to my face. I asked for the per-gram breakdown by piece. First answer: I don’t know. Second answer, after I made him go ask: “one mixed price.” Third answer: take them back if you don’t like it. I did take them back, and only then learned they don’t usually bother with small lots - information that would have been useful before the quote, not after it collapsed. A buyer who can’t itemize a two-item transaction isn’t confused. He’s counting on you not doing division. The best part: while I stood there waiting for a check, before I’d had thirty seconds to look at the math, I was asked to leave them a good review. That’s not customer service. That’s harvesting ratings from people who haven’t finished being taken advantage of yet. Look at this listing’s rating and ask yourself how many of those five stars were collected in that exact window. Do not walk in here without your weights written down and the spot price on your phone. A number you can’t decompose isn’t an offer. It’s a bet that you won’t check.
