  I had a very disappointing experience at the newly opened DSW on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Niguel. I purchased a pair of Converse shoes for my daughter on Sunday, and after she wore them to school just once, one of the shoelaces was already badly frayed. I returned to the store with my receipt and ended up making two trips after an employee named Blain told me I needed to bring back both shoes. When I returned, I was then told the manager had already left. Since my daughter’s size was out of stock, I was told to call the store every Tuesday to check if it became available. What upset me most was when Blain looked at the shoes and said they didn’t look like they had been worn for only one day. I offered to show her my receipt proving when I purchased them, but she did not even look at it. Her comment made me feel as though she was questioning my honesty. I understand that products can be defective and sizes can be out of stock. My complaint is about how I was treated when I simply asked for help with a defective product. Customers should be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, I left feeling dismissed and very disappointed with the customer service at this new location.

  There’s a senior lady at the shop who keeps asking, “Are we doing okay?” over and over in the name of customer service. I understand she’s trying to be helpful, but it becomes quite frustrating when she repeatedly interrupts while we’re trying to browse and make our selections. If we need help, we’ll ask for it. Constant check-ins can actually make the shopping experience less enjoyable. It gets super annoying.

  They have great selection of footwear. The staff is amazingly helpful. They are very knowledgeable when asked questions. If you need boots, shoes, sandals this is the place to go. Prices are fair, clean environment, over all great experience ever time I come here.

  I'm so happy to see a shoe in this area again. The store is beautiful. Selections are awesome. The associates were all very helpful. This will be a frequent shopping excursion location for sure!
