  The star rating is solely based on the toys they offer. Everything else falls short. The staff is generally rude, except for a few exceptions. Considering that we spend around $100 every time we visit, I would expect a more helpful and courteous attitude from them. I highly recommend Learning Express in San Ramon. They have a nicer staff, a better toy selection, and lower prices.

  I called them on 12/12 to inquire about a toy. They told me they don't carry it, but would request it from another store. Awesome! I called multiple times thereafter to find out if they'd received it. Once, someone picked up (!!) and said they'd find it and call me back. Not sure what the previous person had done, then? They never called back. So I called another store in Berkeley who was INFINITELY more helpful in locating the toy and then called the store that actually had it in stock - the Berkeley 4th street location. They held it for me and I drove there to pick it up. This is after over a week of getting absolutely nothing for I can't imagine what reason fro the Lafayette store. I picked up the toy on Weds. They just called me today, Saturday, to tell me their numbers were off and they didn't have the toy in the company's inventory anywhere. 😂 What a mess! The chain should be grateful they have SOME great stores and reliable staff elsewhere in the Bay!
