  It’s dumb that you place an order online and when you go to pick up ammo. You still have to wait in line. I get it, store has to do background check. Still a waste of time if you order online and still have to come in and wait in line. Isn’t it suppose to be quick and easy? I don’t get the logic. Next time id rather pay a bit more elsewhere for faster service. Suggestion if you guys take em. Have 2 teams in the firearm section to handle firearms show/sell. Have one for ammunition. Buying ammo doesn’t take hrs compared to firearm buyers. Ammo customer knows what they want and process takes less than 30mins. Do better next time!!!

  I want to give a super shout out to Kyle in the fishing department for his superb customer service & fishing expertise. He went above and beyond and took his time explaining & walking me through different set ups to try for bass fishing. Because of his advice, my little boy was able to catch his first bass and the look on his face priceless!!! We were both shocked haha and I will definitely be coming back, thanks Kyle!

  Website showed they had 45-70govt copper in store got there only seen lead got in line asked the guy at the gun counter response was " what you see is what i got" not very helpful

  Everytime I try to shop here, it never works out. I'm only talking about this particular sportsman in Fresno, CA. Their first strike was when I went in to buy a scope for my 22lr rifle. The guy handed me one from the back shelf. My mistake for not opening and checking it out before leaving. Didn't find out until I got home. It was a used scope. Somebody probably returned it. I could tell because of smudges and ring marks on the scope body. And it had paperwork/receipt from the previous guy. Why didn't I take it back? I was from out of town. Wasn't worth my drive back for a $90 scope. Would've burned more gas in my truck and an hour each way. Second strike i stopped by and saw that they had a sale on some heritage roughriders.. Wanted to buy one. Didnt have the length i wanted. Guy brought out a longer barrell one and it had a bent front post sight. It was the only one they had for the barrel length. Didnt buy it. Third strike, decided to order a revolver on sale online couple months ago. Gun showed up as CA legal. Bought and paid in full online. A week later the order got cancelled. Called up customer service and the lady said it was not legal in my area. I was like, if it wasn't legal then I wouldn't be able to buy it in the first place. Taurus 856. So I was like whatever. Then today I decided to try one of their balloon pops. Got there a little before 9am. Got my ticket. Waited 3.5 hrs of nothing, then went to lunch for an hour because i was number 27 in line according to their wait time. And when i left it was barely number 4 being seen at the counter. I even asked them if we lose our spot in line if we left for lunch. Lunch for an hour. Then got marked NO SHOW while coming back from lunch. Other guys got marked no show as well eventhough they were in the store. Guess they had a glitch in their system and people were called put of order. Talked to the guy at the counter. He said he couldn't do much about it. I told him I wasn't gonna wait for another 3 to 4 hours or more. I wasn't happy. I left and the counter guy laughed and said, "one less person." Why didn't I just stay since I was there all day already?? Because I didn't want to stay. I could care less if I got a 100% off ticket from the balloon pop if i had stayed. It's OK. Sportsman Fresno never fails to disappoint me. I gave so many chances. This is not including the many times I waited for ammo and just left because it took too long. Everybody will have their own experiences, but this is my experience with the gun counter Sportsman Fresno. Always disappointing and I know I'm not the only that feels this way. Will not be going back.
