On a recent visit here, I brought a large number of items from my personal book and CD collections to sell. The staff who welcomed me late in the morning were kind, charning, and amicable. I was happy to wait a few hours while they reviewed my stuff. I checked in at 2:00 p.m. and was told by a rather unpleasant individual, who appeared to have taken charge of the process, that it might be another hour. I was shocked by the fact that he kind of sneered at me then. Less than an hour later, he phoned me with a very low ball offer (maybe a third or a quarter of the what I had anticipated), again with a distinct sneer on his voice. I returned to the store and accepted the sum he had soecified without complaint. He was extremely unpleasant. Without provocation, and sneering once again, he carefully enunciated the number with special emphasis on the number of pennies, daring me to put up a fight. It was a ridiculously absurd experience. The woman cashier who handed me the chump change seemed equally amused by what she had witnessed. But hey, my spouse and I had a great time doing crosswords at the Chili's restaurant and browsing neighboring shops. I cannot overemphasize how nasty the experience was with this guy, especially in contrast to the other staff. I expect I will never return, and I would advise other booksellers to keep your distance. Thanks for reading

As usual, great store. I haven't been to the Fremont store in 10 years and was happy how clean it is. What does need attention is the alphabetical order of CDs, records, and movies. They are in the correct letter but artists and such are scattered. The employees are helpful and friendly.

One of the few places I know about that sells experimental / Noise music. The store has a great selection of media I'd recommend checking out

A good place to find many rare books and good books at really cheap prices. I would say it's better than amazon because I love browsing books before I buy them. I miss bigger bookstores.
