  I’m a pretty big fan of this chain of stores, but today I had a pretty terrible experience. We asked if we could get a price check on a game, since one box is needed for the other, we had to wait 30 minutes to get an employee over to us, only to be told “well, it’s an investment” in a flippant way. I understand wanting to make a profit, but that game new is 1/2 the price they asked for. Love the store, but that was really dissapointing

  Reasonably priced used books available for all reading levels. Board games and other items as well. I bought a previously used graphing calculator and it’s still working great. They also buy your used books.

  We happened to chance upon this half price store during our lunch pit stop in the Fremont area. The place has a huge collections of all kinds and ages of books, along with media and a place to even buy back books. My kids, eleven and five bought Nancy Drew, Dr Seuss books and I happen to find a rare Malgudi books. All of the books are fairly priced and in great condition. We spent over an hour here. We enjoyed browsing and making our picks. They also have a summer reading programs and gave reading log books at checkout after our purchase. Just a perfect place to spend your time!

  Kind of a bummer experience. I worked for this company for 10 years and think of bookstores as lights of culture and intellectualism in the community but this place just feels anemic. I'd take a cynical know it all behind the counter any day over a sad lump. Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara might really help the vibe. Decent selection of books, movies and music at least...

  Came in today in an attempt to trade in some vinyls, I get called to the counter to find the vinyls in a messy stack, get told a price I don't agree with, so declined. The bald man with the thick mustache had some snobby comment under his breath as I was leaving but I was too caught off guard with how disheveled they left my vinyls. If this is how you all intend to handle items you all are messy as hell, i don't care how "slammed" yall were. Edit: it was $250 between the 6 vinyls I bought and brought in and they were going to give me $30, one being $80 by itself. So consider else were before you bring anything in they're just as bad as gamestop.
