  Decent place for buying 2nd hand games and accessories. Some prices can be out of hand though.

  Yes, they have a huge selection of books, and also high prices for a used book store. Their "buy your books/videos" etc offers are are pretty lame. If you've ever sold a textbook back at the end of the semester, it's like that. They said to linger in the store "for 45 minutes" while they went through my books. An hour and fifteen minutes later, they offered me $11.64 for two big canvas bags of first edition dog training books and other books, most in "like new" condition. I checked their shelves and only two of books I brought to them were already on their shelves. I thanked them but declined the offer. I'd rather donate them to the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills Used Book Store in Auburn. They have way better prices than HPB and my donation goes to a much better cause.

  A person at the trade in counter took another customer in line behind me because they had called her name on the intercom. The check in for me took two second though. I told the same employe where to look in my bag for books I brought and I still got my bag back without everything checked for sale in it.

  Fabulous welcoming space, well organized and good pricing. Most books are cheaper than what I would pay for one on Kindle. There is a small, thoughful area with beautiful notebooks and sketchbooks, cards and journals. The staff are super friendly and helpful as well!

  Go here first for all your book needs. I love to just go browse. But you can access their stuff online as well. Plus they buy back books if you’re into that type of thing! Lol
