  I had a really disappointing experience with Alo, both in product quality and customer service at this Burlingame location. I purchased a pair of sweatpants and after fewer than 10 wears, and only about 5 washes, they started to pill badly and the “A” logo literally came off. At this price point, that level of quality is honestly unacceptable, especially compared to other athleisure brands. I brought the pants into the store hoping for a reasonable resolution. Before even hearing me out, a staff member immediately dismissed me, saying they couldn’t help because the pants “looked very worn.” That’s exactly the issue, they became worn-looking almost immediately due to poor quality. I explained that someone else I know had the same issue and was offered an exchange. The staff told me to speak with the manager. Initially, the manager was willing to honor an exchange, but after speaking with the staff over the intercom, her tone completely changed. Suddenly, I was asked for a receipt and then told they couldn’t help because the item was purchased during a 30% sale. Since when does a sale mean lower quality or no accountability? This felt inconsistent, dismissive, and frankly unprofessional. Alo markets itself as a premium brand, but both the product durability and the in-store service I experienced were far from it. I won’t be purchasing from Alo again.
