  Very disappointing experience at JCPenney in Brea. I spent over an hour shopping and then waited in a long checkout line with only two cashiers working. After everything was rung up, I was told they were not accepting gift cards because their system wasn’t working. When I asked how long this had been going on, I was told TWO WEEKS. I asked when it would be fixed, and they didn’t know. If you haven’t been able to accept your own gift cards for two weeks, PUT A SIGN AT THE ENTRANCE. Customers shouldn’t spend an hour shopping and waiting in line only to find out at checkout that their form of payment isn’t accepted. The entire reason I came in was to use a birthday gift card. I left without purchasing anything. JCPenney, you need to do better…

  I had gone in looking at rings before with another associate and was helped and never asked to give an ID. Around 7:15pm going in I knew which ring I wanted to get but wanted to confirm it was the one and that it would fit. The associate immediately told me I can't show you anything unless I had an ID. Mind you this I've gone to multiple Jcp stores, Macy's, and other Jewelers. I've never been asked this until I met this associate. My experience with them was terrible and really tarnished the moment my fiancé was going to pick out his ring.

  I went to the girls bathroom and ended up seeing blood on the GIRLS restroom for girls is normal just to confirm that it was not something bad. So I went and I saw the blood on the toilet I went to a worker to tell them and they said ok then cleaned it your self I said aren’t you a worker (kindly) they said yes but I’m not helping other they where like in a hurry I didn’t wanted to make any problems so i was on the way to tell some else but the same girl that I talked to say not that fast your going to clean it and don’t even think your going to tell some other worker so I was like ok I didn’t wanted to make any problem so I just left and I hope JCPenney is getting more better with there worker because they where so mean

  ⭐ **1-Star Review – Absolutely Terrible Card Application Experience** Absolutely terrible experience with the JCPenney membership/card application process. I stood in line for **almost 30 minutes**, then spent another **20 minutes going through the application process**, only to be told at the end that my application was declined. That is nearly **an hour of my time wasted** for a process that should have been handled much more efficiently. If an application is going to be declined, customers should not be put through such a long and frustrating process without better communication. I want to be very clear: **the store employees were helpful, respectful, and I was satisfied with their service.** My problem is with JCPenney’s card/membership process and the way it wastes customers’ time. This was extremely frustrating and completely unacceptable. JCPenney needs to seriously fix this process and start respecting customers’ time. I would think twice before going through this card application process again.
