We visited Droid Depot around 5:30 PM on July 8, expecting one of the most memorable experiences at Galaxy’s Edge. Instead, it turned out to be one of the worst experiences of our entire Disneyland trip. From the moment we checked out, the Cast Members seemed unwilling to help us. After we carefully spent time choosing all of our droid parts, a female Cast Member came over and told us we only needed to complete the first and third steps. She then took away the rest of the parts we had selected and even questioned whether we had paid. We were confused but trusted her instructions. What made it even more frustrating was that no one guided us through the building process. We were the only guests there at the time, yet the group before us had Cast Members assisting them throughout the entire experience. After we repeatedly asked for help, a male Cast Member with curly hair and glasses finally came over, only to tell us we were missing parts. When we explained that another Cast Member had taken them away, he simply told us—with a very poor attitude—to go get another set ourselves. To make matters worse, we didn’t even know that we were supposed to choose a sound chip. No Cast Member ever mentioned it or offered us the option. I only found out afterward by reading other Google reviews that choosing a sound chip is part of the experience. We completely missed that step because no one guided us at all. Considering this is one of the features that makes each droid unique, it’s incredibly disappointing that we never even had the opportunity to choose one. Overall, the experience felt rushed, disorganized, and completely lacking the Disney-level service we expected. We paid over $120 for this activity, yet received almost no guidance from beginning to end. I also couldn’t help but notice the stark difference between how we were treated compared with the guests before us. As Asian visitors, it left us feeling uncomfortable and wondering whether we were treated differently because of our race. Whether that was intentional or not, no guest should leave feeling that way. This experience was a huge disappointment and certainly not worth the price. I sincerely hope management looks into what happened so future guests don’t have the same experience.

The stuff sold caters to a younger crowd but it's worth checking out as an older person to see all the cool franchise related stuff in the store like the different droids from the movies often seen as broken down parts. It's very cool and has a very different vibe compared to places like Dok-Ondar. Depending on how much you like droids the items might also be right up your alley.
