  This store has an amazing inventory if you’re someone that knows exactly what you’re doing and what you need. If you’re someone that’s trying a new medium, purchasing a gift, need some insight or perspective on something, this may not be the right place. I have gone in and asked for an associates help and they genuinely had no idea or experience with the product. I understand not everyone is familiar with every medium, but perhaps “most customers seem to lean toward this item” or “this item has been here a few months, it sells frequently and rarely gets returned,” just some common sense responses with a little effort would be appreciated. At one point I inquired about a product and the associate wasn’t sure where the item originated from in the store. On a separate occasion, I called in to ask about specific products and the person who answered sounded like she had been hired earlier in the day. I wasn’t even sure she worked there she was so confused. Her responses were nothing more than let me ask my manager (multiple times), to the point I was wondering why the manager didn’t just get on the phone themself. This store is for very specific clientele and has only two locations, so it stands to reason that a fair number of their customers are traveling a relatively far distance to make a purchase, it would be nice, before anyone commits to driving 45 minutes (when gas is over $4/gallon) if the person that answered the phone had some inkling what was being asked. As much as I want to support this store since it carries such specific art related items, I do often consider if I can find the products elsewhere at another store or even online to save myself the drive, and read others reviews before going in and hoping someone here can point me in the right direction.

  I like this store…pretty well laid out, and the people are very helpful. Minus a star for an inconvenience: Price tags on individual colored pencils- People, put the price tags down by the color name, not up by the point! where one now has to peel off and take off residual goo in order to sharpen the pencil! Please.

  I don't even know why i take my time to drive to your store or even step foot in it with the way I am treated when I'm there. I'm ADHD/OCD and I also have to look at absolutely every product and everything in the store. It has always been that way for me and it's how I like to shop and get my dopamine rush by looking at things and discovering things in the realm of things I like. Sometimes I'll find my self down an isle 3 times looking at the same stuff because of my fomo. I have spent quite a bit in your store and do often because I like to hyperfixate on things and have to have every color or fomo. It sucks but then I have every color one might need. I will keep true to never returning thought because of the very very poor customer service. I have never stepped foot in that store with out someone breathing down my neck and trialing me throughout the entire store. It's awkward, I am introverted and it gives me anxiety and I'm not stealing lol. I took my 8 year old daughter in there once and they did the same thing and we had to leave with how over bearing and intrusive it was. Come on your store is in a collage section of the city I know you probably deal with your fair share of theives but to do what you do is pathetic. You guys have camera plastered every where why don't you just rely on those? I know it's for prevention but take a loss prevention class or two before you start treating good customers like trash theives. It really sucks because I did love your store but not anymore. I can go to Jerry's artorama and no one is following me , I can look and keep to myself and not be bothered. It really sucks to be profiled so heavily for something you don't do.
