  ONLY getting two stars because of the two employees that were actually helpful. I’m only giving two stars because Florinda (I believe that was her name) and Christopher were both extremely helpful and ultimately resolved my issue. I came into this Nordstrom Rack on Thursday, September 10, around 4:30 PM because I had accidentally ordered the wrong shoe size. The website showed that the correct size was in stock at this specific location, so I came in hoping an employee could confirm the store inventory and help me locate it. I previously worked as a retail manager, so I’m very familiar with the fact that store inventory can generally be checked through the register or store system. That being said, my issue isn’t even that the first employee may not have known how to do that. My issue was her attitude toward me for asking a completely normal retail question. I calmly explained the situation to the employee at the register, and after I finished, her response was, “So how do you expect me to find them?” I asked if she could possibly look the item up on the register. She replied, “Well, we can’t do that.” I asked for clarification, “You can’t check your inventory?” and she again told me, in a very rude tone, “No, I can’t.” When I asked how I was supposed to find out whether the shoes were actually in stock, her response was simply, “I don’t know? On your phone?” That made absolutely no sense considering I had already explained that I came to this location specifically because the website showed them as being in stock. I wasn’t asking her to magically find a shoe — I was asking for confirmation on their end and help locating an item their own website said was available. The phone reception inside the store was also terrible, which made the response even less helpful. I eventually moved to an area with better reception, confirmed once again that the shoes showed as in stock, and then spoke with Florinda. She immediately helped me, looked up the store inventory without an issue, and with Christopher’s help in the shoe department, they located the correct size for me. That was literally all I had been asking for from the beginning. What made the original interaction even stranger was that the first employee saw me receiving help from someone else and yelled across the room, “So did you find them?” I responded, “Yep, and you guys are able to look it up on the computer.” Her response was, “Well, I don’t know nothing about all that.” That honestly summed up the entire interaction. Again, I completely understand that employees may not know every function of a system or may need to ask another coworker for assistance. What I don’t understand is being spoken to with an attitude for asking a reasonable question instead of simply saying, “I’m not sure how to do that, but let me find someone who can help you.” Florinda and Christopher were great and deserve recognition for being friendly, knowledgeable, and actually willing to help. Unfortunately, the first employee made what should have been a very basic shopping interaction unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable.

  Went to this location, and was helped by Beau, who was one of the nicest people I have ever met. I don’t usually post about regular shopping experiences, but I had to shout him out because he genuinely cared about helping the people there! Will be going back because of him.
