  David is an excellent store manager! My wife was really frustrated trying to find items in store that showed available in store at the Promenade online. Several customer service reps were unhelpful so she asked for a manager. David appeared, was very kind and took the time to find each item himself and make sure she was completely happy with the whole experience My wife can’t stop telling everyone how the experience quickly changed from 1 star to 5+ all thanks to David. He deserves a promotion and a raise

  We had a really disappointing experience at this location due to a staff member named Mitra. We are a large family with five kids, and we stopped in to grab a few last-minute items for an upcoming trip after some online purchases didn't work out. It was a hot day, we were trying to shop quickly, and from the moment we walked in, the interaction felt unnecessarily hostile. Our three-year-old was happily dancing in circles around her older brother, behaving like an excited three-year-old. We were already redirecting her and had the situation under control. Despite that, Mitra immediately began reprimanding us, and my toddler, and continued making comments even after I explained that we were handling it. She repeatedly warned us about what would happen if our child bumped into another customer, and her tone felt far more confrontational than helpful. Instead of letting it go after we'd acknowledged her concerns, she continued engaging with us. Both my husband and I tried to end the conversation, but she persisted to the point that we genuinely felt harassed. We eventually asked to speak with a manager, and at that point she appeared to intentionally hide her name tag while staying in proximity to us while we were trying to shop. It was strange and mocking. The entire experience was bizarre and completely unnecessary. Shopping at Nordstrom Rack can already be hectic, especially with five kids and the Arizona heat. The last thing any customer expects is to be greeted with hostility before they've even had a chance to shop. I do want to recognize the cashier who helped my husband at checkout. She was professional, kind, and handled the situation with empathy, which we appreciated. She didn't seem surprised that we had this issue with Mitra, because she mentioned that this happened frequently. One unpleasant employee can completely change how customers feel about a brand. Customer service requires patience, professionalism, and good judgment, and unfortunately this interaction reflected none of those qualities. I have no desire to return after this. It's just not worth the potential stress.

  I hate to be this person that leaves a negative review but it appears this location is not following the brands protocols on returns. I came in here to do a return of two baby items that were gifted to me that do not fit my baby. The gifts were from a neighbor and I do not have their Nordstrom number and was never given a receipt. Their manager with red hair and a thick accent came out and said she would not let me return it without these items. I said that’s strange considering Nordstrom has one of the best return policies and is extremely customer focused. She said she would not do it and needed to get their phone number or have them send me the receipt to return. Shockingly bad customer service and she was rude in the process too. Didn’t catch her name but hopefully corporate sees this and can train their managers on their own return process.
