  Just had the worst experience with the closing manager on 07/25/26. He lacked patience and refused to make a sale because he wanted to rush and close the store. We had to wait in line for 5 minutes for them because they only had 1 person on the register and by the time they got a back up person to help us, he had the audacity to rush us because of a minor issue we had with our gift card that we needed a munute ti correct. He didn't want to wait literally 1 minute for us to load our gift card! His lack of customer service ruined a shopping experience my wife had been looking forward to since she has been dealing with health issues, she was finally excited to use her gift card and this manager ruined it because he couldn't wait 1 minute and told us they had to close the store when there were other people still wandering around the floor! People like him should not be in retail due to lack of customer service and compassion...he does more damage then he can imagine!

  I had bought a Gift Card during the holidays in 2023 and used the some of the funds on the gift card with an online order and returned some shoes so the in store associate gave me the difference back for in store merchandise credit. The lady who did the so-called in store credit was shady to begin with on how she processed the return because she couldn’t find the shoe in the system but I had a receipt with me. The associate swore up and down the credit would be on the card when I went to redeem it. I even recall getting an email for the credit but can’t find the email today! I shopped at DSW for several months since I wanted to redeem the in store credit and never could find any shoes (either ugly or zero comfort and I needed to try them on beforehand). So fast forward to May 2026, I purchased two pairs of shoes. I presented my in store merchandise credit and no funds were on it. Hmmm so they called their customer service to help assist and they said I used the funds. I asked for the details of what I used it on. They couldn’t tell me any information besides a date which was the date on my merchandise credit receipt. Keep in mind my in store credit still had a receipt with the balance on the card of around $75.44 still attached to the merchandise credit. Keep in mind too, that when an in store credit is redeemed the cashier collects the merchandise credit card. So no one could tell me what happened and why I still have my merchandise credit that’s now been wiped of my funds!! So Anna (Manager?) gave me a credit of $75 to use on the two shoes. Also, I got home and realized Anna did not honor the BOGO on sandals. I didn’t complain since she saw my honesty in the fiasco to begin with -so I thought!! Well, when I got home I changed my mind. I walked on the carpet in the store and the comfort was great on the carpet but I got home and walked on hard floors and they were not so comfortable after all. So I went back to return them and asked for my $75 in store merchandise credit so I can shop online. The girls at the register called for Anna. I explained to Anna what has happened and she responds back (in a low tone voice like she didn’t want anyone to hear her) that she claims she told me she’d only do this one time, honor the $75 on my purchase since she could clearly see my receipt said the amount. NEVER did she say she’d do it this one time to me. I even went home and told my husband about the debacle. So she (Anna) is a liar, otherwise, I would have rethought the purchase. Now I’m stuck with two pairs of shoes and all I wanted to do is shop online to give me a better selection of comfort shoes. My loyalty and honesty to this chain and specifically this store is gone. I’ve been lied to twice now. They are all trained to be dishonest. This company is not about customer retention and satisfaction, but instead all about sales. Not only did my $75.44 just disappear in three years (and there are no expiration dates on credits) but I paid an extra $54 and again Anna didn’t honor the BOGO! She discretely knew what she was doing. So now I have two shoes that cost $125 that I can’t wear. I also asked the girls what happened to my gift card, merchandise credit and receipt with the credit amount on it and no one could tell me what happened to it. I left all of it with them hoping they’d piece the puzzle together. If they could explain what happened to my money and I was in the wrong I would have been more than happy to make it right. But everything was done disgracefully and dishonestly.
