Went to chandler location looking for gym reaper clothing. Chandler location online said they had a few left in my size. Looked around and couldnt find them. Asked an associate and they said they were upstairs even though in the past they were down stairs with the clothing. Get upstairs and they say it’s down stairs. Associates were of no help. Went back down stairs and asked another associate and they said it’s upstairs again. Terrible customer service. Management must not train employees and equip them with devices to show stock. Didn’t get a gym reapers shirt, but I got my cardio being sent up and down the stairs multiple times!

Got their credit card at opening.
Never really used it, but my daughter bought a jacket at Scheels I upgraded and used the card for $35.
Since we never carried a balance we missed an email bill of $35. The lending institution never called us, they sent it to collections.
My credit score went from 825 to 700.🙄
Unless you are constantly spending money at Scheels and do not have them on your payment roster online, avoid. They are too lazy to call or text that there is a pending bill… too much in a hurry to give you a black mark on your credit.
This affects my desire to ever use their credit card, therefore more hesitant to visit the store.

I just picked up a bike from scheels and I couldn’t be happier with the support I received the whole team was great especially Scott. They answered all of my questions and helped me pick the right accessories for me. The whole process was great and the entire team was incredibly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend seeing Scott for anything to do with bikes he helped out a ton and took the time it needed to get me what I needed!

Walked in ready to spend some money on **3 scooters and 3 helmets** for our kids. An employee showed us—on their own system—that multiple scooters we wanted (on sale) were in stock. Great… except not really.
After sending the poor employee on a wild goose chase through the back rooms, he came back drenched in sweat to tell us **they didn’t actually have them**. So their inventory system is basically useless, and the employees are left cleaning up the mess.
While we waited, our kids tried standing on the display scooters to see if they fit—pretty standard before buying. That’s when a manager appeared out of nowhere and immediately told them to get off. No customer service, no common sense—just a blunt “you can’t do that” followed by a weak excuse about someone crashing *somewhere else in the store one time*. If you don’t want people trying scooters, maybe don’t put them on display.
Then comes the best part: after *their* system was wrong and *their* stock wasn’t there, we asked if they’d honor the sale price on a different color. Manager’s response? Basically, “No. We don’t budge.” No attempt to fix the situation, no effort to keep a sale—just pure indifference.
The employee helping us was the only bright spot, and even he looked defeated.
We left with **three disappointed kids** and zero reason to ever come back.
We moved from North Dakota expecting the same level of service at the Scheels in Fargo—this location couldn’t be further from that. Same name, completely different (and worse) experience.

This Scheels location has the friendliest, most attentive staff. Truly nice, helpful people who make themselves available to help without hovering. The product variety is excellent with ever-rotating inventory to keep things interesting for shoppers of all ages. The price point can be higher but there are amazing deals if you know to look for them. We also really enjoy events like Ladies Night which is very thoughtfully prepared and executed professionally. A lovely store that is also an experience and always leaves you feeling great. Thank you for all that you do so well and consistently!
