I am writing to share my positive experience working with Philip. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and it is clear that he truly enjoys his work, especially when it comes to watches.
Philip is very easy to talk to and provided a no-pressure environment, ensuring I was able to try on everything I was interested in. I look forward to purchasing from Philip and Coffin & Trout Fine Jewelers again in the future.
Dropped off my Airking to be serviced, was given a projected completion date and cost. Those were the only two things that went fairly smooth. After being advised my watch was ready for pickup I went in on a Saturday and dealt with Sandi, she seemed bothered to assist in answering my questions. Even after paying, no explanation of what was done, just "here's your watch, pay and leave" attitude. After being handed my watch I asked about my original parts that were replaced and that I would like to have them back. She told me that they don't return parts, even though there was no such statement on the invoice or receipt, nor was that at any point verbalized. After insisting that the parts belong to me and that I would like them back she angrily scurried off to find the manager, Ben. Ben came over and explained that it is common practice to keep parts. After Ben explained that the watchmaker was not present, he told me that he would speak to him on Monday and get back to me about possibly figuring something out, which he did. Today I called the store to speak to Ben, he was out for the day. After being asked if there was something they could help with i asked to speak with the watch maker, this request proved to be above my pay grade, again rudeness, perhaps incompetence. At this point, after buying smaller items from this merchant from time to time, it's clear to me that if I'm not buying a $250k diamond ring then they don't need my business. The only person that was ever really cordial and helpful was Don, who no longer works there, unfortunate. I will be sure to send over a copy of ARS 44-1521 Arizona's consumer fraud act, as petty as it may seem, this merchant is engaging in deceptive practices. And this matter will be pursued. I guess I said all of that to say this.... STAY AWAY.
I recently received a vintage Rolex for my birthday and needed to have it resized. I first stopped by Jared, where they were initially going to charge me $25 for the resizing, until they realized it was a Rolex and said they couldn’t work on it. I then tried another jeweler and was told the same thing.
After searching online for places that specifically handle Rolex, I came across this shop. Luckily, it’s right near my office, so I was able to stop by on my lunch break.
Matt helped me out, and he was incredibly kind and professional throughout the whole process. What really stood out was that they resized the watch at no charge, especially considering I hadn’t purchased the watch—or anything else—from them before. That level of service really meant a lot.
The shop itself is beautiful and has some amazing jewelry on display. Overall, it was a great experience, and I truly appreciate the care and service I received. I will definitely be visiting again when I’m in the market for some fine jewelry. Highly recommend!

I cannot rate Phillip and the entire staff at Coffin and Trout high enough.
I met Phillip at the start of my search for Rolex GMT. Phillip provided meaningful information about the watch, the company, and the process. Throughout each step he was always eager to answer my questions whether on the phone or in person.
From tip to tail I was treated to a tremendous experience.
I have read many horror stories regarding dismissive Rolex authorized dealers and am pleased to say that Coffin and Trout break free from the mold in spectacular fashion. I am a customer for life.

I had an outstanding experience at Coffin & Trout Jewelers in Chandler, and I can confidently say it was one of the best retail experiences I’ve ever had, largely thanks to Griselda.
From the very beginning, Griselda demonstrated an impressive depth of knowledge not just about Rolex watches, but also the brand’s history and craftsmanship. She took the time to understand why I was purchasing the watch, my desire for a daily watch that could be worn casually and be dressed up, not just what I thought I wanted, and made sure to align everything with my timeline and expectations.
One thing I really appreciated was how patient and thorough she was during the selection process. I initially felt bad taking so much of her time, but she was very positive and encouraged me to try on a wide variety of models, sizes, and configurations so I could get a true feel for what suited me best. That hands-on approach made a huge difference, and it ultimately led me to choose something that wasn’t previously on my radar, a Slate dial Datejust 41 with a smooth bezel on a Jubilee bracelet, something I feel completely confident and excited about.
Throughout the entire process, Griselda was extremely communicative and proactive. She consistently followed up, kept me informed on timelines, and was always available to answer my questions, even after the purchase.
What really set this experience apart though, was the level of care after the sale. She checked in to see how I was getting on with the watch, and when I stopped back in to learn more about how the keyless works functioned within the movement, Griselda went above and beyond by bringing out their watchmaker to walk me through it in detail and showing me some schematics to further educate me. As someone with a technical and scientific background, that meant a lot to me and showed a genuine commitment to customer education and experience.
If you’re considering a Rolex or any fine timepiece, I highly recommend Coffin & Trout Jewelers, and specifically Griselda. Her professionalism, knowledge, and dedication made this a truly exceptional experience.
