  Would love to browse and shop without 3-4 vacation salespeople hounding you about a trip to the mountains or beach. I have visited numerous bass pros across the country and this is the only one that annoyed me. Do better

  I love bass pro shops for what it is, and my negative review is not being made out of my opinion of the store itself, but for the lack of professionalism and attitude of the staff in the gun department. Today I called to inquire about the availability of some Warne scope rings for my Tikka rifle (the online store said there was limited supply at the Leeds location). When I contacted the gun department, the employee that I spoke with was extremely rude and stand-offish, but said he would go look on the floor to check availability. In what I assume was an attempt to insult my intelligence, the employee asked me who the manufacturer was of the scope rings..I informed him that it was “Warne”, at which point he tried to correct me and say that’s not a manufacturer, and asked me if I was looking for Leupold, Vortex, etc.. I informed him again that the manufacturer is Warne, and that it’s actually a pretty common / well known brand. He disagreed and said they don’t have anything like that. Out of spite..I drove 35 minutes to the store to find the rings that clearly say available on the website, and not only did I find the ones I was looking for..but half of the aisle for scope rings is dedicated to what brand..Warne. This is the second time in 6 months that I’ve had a negative interaction via phone call with personnel with the gun department, and if it wasn’t for bass pro shops being the only store of its type in the area..I wouldn’t be shopping there. Some serious remedial coaching and instruction on bedside manner needs to be had with the so called “professionals” in the gun department. Attached is a picture of some Warne scope rings that apparently don’t exist…

  I had a great experience here today shopping for knives. The gentleman who works behind the knife counter (I believe his name was Byron,) was especially helpful and as well as friendly. He was very knowledgeable about knife handle and blade materials. Frankly, I haven’t seen this kind of retail professionalism in a long time. It was very refreshing. We had a nice conversation which is very uncommon today in our fast paced society. I hope Mr. Byron is able to work there for many more years to come.

  You've heard the old saying, everything in its place in a place for everything. The store is laid out real well, fishing in one spot, bow hunting in another, things that float and things that roll over dry land, as well as a huge clothing section. I guarantee you'll need some help locating an item. The store maybe laid out very well but there is so many items that what you're looking for will probably disappear into the mass. Never fear though the store has floor walkers and they will guide you to exactly what you're looking for. I really can't give this store any less than five stars.

  Thank you, Leeds BPS location For all your help in getting a resolution to our missing boat equipment in which we purchased from the Savannah store almost a month ago. We are grateful that you guys have stepped in to help us out with the missing equipment on our center console boat and also took out the time to help explain the NAV system on our new boat. ! Wouldn’t go anywhere else for our boat needs ! thank you, Sean and thank you, Dylan
