  If you haven’t been to Belk at the Summit lately, you need to go! It has greatly improved with better vendor selection, upgraded lighting, fresh paint and signage. The store was the cleanest and most organized I have seen in years!! I have shopped at this location since it opened and saw it slowly decline over the past 10 years. Had pretty much written it off except for makeup purchases. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised! Have been there 3 times in two weeks and have had great service from the sales people I interacted with. I spoke with one of the managers, Darlyene, who was so nice and knowledgeable. She told me they had a new store manager, which they all really like and is doing a great job. I ended up walking through most of the store and racks were full with good looking merchandise that you would actually want to try on or buy. Shoe selection has some better brands again with a nice variety. I recommend you go check them out!

  Every employee that I encountered was great. However, Emmett in the men's suits was over-the-top helpful, kind, patient, and an absolute joy to interact with. Whatever he is getting paid, it ain't enough!

  Just left out of here. Watched a sales associate offer help to every other white customer walking around. While I stood at the counter waiting for someone to acknowledge me. He even looked at me a few times. He even walked behind me, placed his hand on my back and excused himself around me. But wouldn’t actually acknowledge me or offer any help. Just continued helping everyone else. Like I wasn’t a customer standing at the checkout counter. Is this not an indicator that I am here for a reason?? Finally had to ask another associate who happened to walk to the counter if someone could help me. She then spoke to the two ladies who were standing off to the side having a conversation. One of them ran over apologizing saying she didn’t see me—when they both looked at me when I walked over to them. I couldn’t tell if they were associates or not, so I didn’t bother them. So what do you do? Wait for someone to offer you help? As most people would…before having to just ask someone for help. I don’t want to scream racism…but this is one of those moments where it’s genuinely hard not to. I don’t remember the last time I left a store in tears. If I can avoid this store, I will from now on out.

  Alex in men's clothing more specifically Ralph Lauren is wonderful. He is a customers dream, fast, explains prices just very efficient. Kudos to Alex!!!
