  I went in yesterday to buy a few things. I grabbed a new reel and some line for it. I asked a group of guys if they had someone there that could spool it for me. The manager in the group instructed an older gentleman to do it. It took him what seemed like forever. When finished, he handed the spool of line and said “you had a little left over”. ??? That’s not possible, I have 8 of those exact reels with the same line on them, they hold the entire spool, that’s why I got it. I then looked at the reel and saw he had done an absolutely horrible job of spooling it before cutting it short. Two things, I was late for my son’s baseball practice and I didn’t want the old man to get punished for it. He clearly didn’t know what he was doing and his so called “manager” shouldn’t have put him in that position. I went ahead and bought another spool of line so I could trash the line he had cut short and redo it when I got home. I didn’t want the old man to have to pay the $30 and I definitely didn’t have time for someone to fix it. The lady at the register took a picture of it, apologized, and offered to fix it but I had to go. I spend a tremendous amount of money at Bass Pro/Cabelas on hunting and fishing gear. I recommend buying what you need from them. The only reason I give this store 2 stars is because of this issue(you’re a fishing store), and because of the immense amount of effort you have to spend trying to avoid the Hilton Vacation salesmen(no means no). I have to tell my kids the same thing I tell them when visiting foreign countries with lots of aggressive street vendors. Act like you don’t speak any language and keep walking.

  So great having a Bass Pro Shops here in Tyler! My kids absolutely love it! Very convenient being located in Tyler.

  Had a item shipped from another store ,I received tracking number called was on hold 30 minutes the first time ,said my item wasn't there called again to verify before driving 80 miles ,said not sure about my package arriving i gave them the information said if they found it would take several days to process because of being so busy. Will not make this mistake again. Very poor customer service.

  Took my grandson to see the Easter Bunny all the staff was friendly and we didn't have to wait long at all I will definitely be back next year for sure
