I recently visited this store to shop for shoes and had an uncomfortable experience. Shortly after entering the women’s shoe department, I was greeted by a shoe representative, Krystal . While I was still browsing, a manager/supervisor, Grant, approached the employee and began addressing an internal matter directly behind me. This interaction was unrelated to my visit and should not have taken place in a customer shopping area. The tone used by the manager/supervisor came across as rude and unprofessional, creating an awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere for me as a customer. Workplace issues should be handled privately, not in front of shoppers. Before leaving, I made sure to check the manager’s name tag so I could accurately reference this very uncomfortable experience. The employee remained polite and professional throughout my visit, which was greatly appreciated; however, the situation reflected poorly on management. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and encourages greater professionalism moving forward, as all behavior on the sales floor is a direct reflection of Scheels.

I visited with my family & we lost our son while in the ferris wheel line. A few minutes later, I thankfully found my son with one of your associates at the entrance, who was actively trying to locate his parents. I want to sincerely acknowledge and thank your team for handling this situation responsibly and ensuring our child’s safety. However, what followed significantly impacted our experience. After reuniting with our son and still processing the shock and fear of the situation, we returned to the Ferris wheel line and politely asked the attendant, Ms. Ava M., if we could return to our previous spot. Instead of empathy or understanding, her response was dismissive and hurtful. She appeared frustrated and stated, “You should have been more attentive towards your child.” Given the tone, lack of compassion, and the way we were spoken to, I felt singled out and disrespected. As a person of color, this interaction felt discriminatory, and I want to be very clear that this is not something I can ignore or accept. While I appreciate that my child was kept safe, the lack of empathy, accountability, and customer care displayed afterward was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. This experience left our family feeling offended, disrespected, and emotionally shaken.

I really enjoy this fun store; from the fish tanks to the variety of sports products, clothing, guns and the great customer service. My last visit was to have my ski boots repaired; I had purchased them while visiting Utah. Though this store in The Colony doesn’t offer this kind of repairs, a very kind young guy in the bicycle repair department was able to take a look and help; he went out of his way to help me out, and I really appreciated his kindness and graciousness.

Love this store, the culture, the smiles on employees faces; shop here routinely. The vast majority of the time, my experience is very positive. But today I went looking for pickleball shoes for men. Pretty much sold out! I know the holidays just past, but SURELY the inventory mgm dept knows after Christmas, folks have money in their pocket ready to spend. This combined with the popularity of pickleball leads me to believe this was a failure on somebody's part. And before you respond, Scheels, it is not as though there are no pball shoes to be had anywhere, or you just could not get them due to short supply....there are countless dozens available on Amazon so the inventory is out there....unfortunately, this is where I then went to order new shoes.....

Very disappointing experience at Scheels. I went in with the intention of purchasing a firearm, but no one ever helped me. Several employees were standing around talking while I waited, and not a single person asked if I needed assistance. As a Hispanic male, I couldn’t help but feel a bit out of place and uncomfortable being ignored while others stood around. When you’re making a serious and regulated purchase like this, customer service and basic respect matter. Being overlooked made me feel like my business wasn’t important at all, so I ended up leaving without buying anything. For a store that prides itself on service, this experience was unacceptable. I won’t be returning for firearm purchases and wouldn’t recommend this location based on my experience.
