  Actually awful customer service. Please do not purchase anything at this location. & I will be escalating this further to corporate. I went to pick up an order for my mom and was told I couldn’t unless she was present with me, which is a little outdated but that isn’t even where my issue comes from. I’m then told from the manager (short stubby woman brown hair) that if I wanted to pick up this order, my mom would have to call and allow it. I say okay and I then spend the next 5-10 minutes trying to get my mom to contact that store but shes a full-time teacher and cannot call nor make the commute to pick up the order herself because she is a single mother to a baby with a full time job and just does not have the time. I ask the cashier if that calling is the only way that I can get the item picked up and she says yes, to which I reply ‘how does that prevent fraud if any random person could call and pretend to be my mom?’ She says she’ll get the manager. I ask the manager ‘is calling the only solution?’ She says yes, I then ask again ‘how does this prevent fraud?’ And then she COMPLETELY back tracks and gaslights me into saying that she never said that and it must have been someone else??? But she just agreed a moment ago as well as the cashier with the pink hair. The manager then speaks to me very patronizing and offers zero solutions before walking off so I am forced to cancel the order (I can cancel somebody elses order, but I can’t pick it up for them?) So unprofessional, I am actually appalled.

  This is the BEST JC Penney in San Antonio! Plenty of merchandise and all kept tidy!!!

  They tricked me. The desk lady made it sound like I get $35 off of the purchase for signing up for a JC Penney card. Turns out they mean CREDIT CARD. I gave them my information only for them to deny me because I don’t even qualify to begin with. Now JC Penney has my data with a history of data breaches and people’s SSN’s getting leaked and to top it all off I DON’T EVEN QUALIFY. It’s absolutely shameful how they pursued you into signing up for a credit card while knowingly make it sound like a membership card. I will never be buying from JC Penney ever again. Worse still is you can’t even undo the damage because I can’t trust you deleted my information. Horrible experience
