Absolutely ridiculous experience. I showed up at 7:50 PM to donate items, fully expecting to be able to since the store hours clearly say they close at 8:00 PM. Instead of anyone being outside to receive donations, I had to go inside just to ask what was going on.
I was then told—very curtly—by an older employee that they stop taking donations at 7:30 PM and that they were “closed,” even though it was NOT 8:00 yet and the store was still open. Nowhere does it clearly say donations end early, and if it does, it’s definitely not obvious enough for customers who are literally trying to DONATE for free.
I wasted my time, gas, and effort trying to do something helpful, only to be turned away with zero apology and zero explanation beyond “we don’t take things anymore.” If you don’t want donations after a certain time, then update your hours and signage instead of misleading people.
For a place that survives on donations, this level of disorganization and attitude is honestly embarrassing. I won’t be coming back to donate here again.

Im beyond sad right now. They didnt use a safe tape on my cute drawer. I was so excited bc i actually have this exact drawr and now they match... until i barely tried to get the tape of and it began to tore. I ended up haveing to cut the sticker off the tape and very skillfully put the tape back on so the wood grain lined up. But this ruined my day.

I want to say I love coming to this GW near Marbach - sometimes it is a hit or miss. Like all stores. I see the reviews are about Goodwill but you guys are complaining about the company in general. The reviews are meant to critique on this particular store. Please review about your experience, not about prices. Complain to corporate about that! I continuously see that the staff are very friendly and that I agree on! Today, I had the worst experience at Potranco with an employee there , “Michelle” but went here and I had the best experience. Thank you to Yancey & Silvia! When I do go here, Silvia is always so helpful and upbeat. She helps everyone. I thought she was a manager. Everyone here, customers and employees treat each other like family. I love that about this place. I have been pretty much to all the Goodwills here in SA- this is my favorite!
