- CCChris CantuMay 25, 20241.0Michael Khors Mercedes Tx Wanted to make everyone aware of my most recent experience at Michael Kors Outlet in Mercedes Tx. We went to return a product we purchased a couple weeks ago. We had a gift receipt in hand and an email receipt. Both of these items were refused by the employee and the manager Evelyn that was working that day(5/25/2024 @ 1PM) . The emailed receipt was a copy of the gift receipt. Not sure why this was sent to our email? Both receipts didn’t provide the card number to apply the return and they could only offer a store credit. As we went through the return policy it had enough technicality’s to avoid the refund. We looked for a reason on why someone would send a gift receipt to our email rather than our the purchase receipt and couldn’t get a realistic response. I then return home which is about an hour round trip to retrieve the receipt. The receipt didn’t have our card number on the print so assumed it would be a problem. Upon returning to the store I asked to speak to Evelyn the manager. I tell her the receipt doesn’t have my card number. She again refused to provide me credit. She asked if we paid with Apple or android? I told her I wouldn’t know since it was my wife who purchased it and she didn’t want to make another trip to Mercedes. I tould her it was possible and that my wife wasn’t present. She said my wife would need to provide her Apple Pay information to receive credit. I explained that I was an hour away from the store and she didn’t seem to care. It is too easy to make online purchases today, and there is plenty of merchants who provide the same products to continue to return to establishments with poor customer service. Incompetence and lack of empathy is what we experienced today from Michael Kors. For the record, I had found a watch that I was going to turn around and purchase but this experience will keep me from returning to this establishment. I still haven’t returned my item so this may not be the end.
