Joseph was very informative on the do’s and don’ts of the device while Connor performed what I hoped to be a seamless install. Hopefully I can get this thing off as fast as I got it on but I can honestly say this will be my Smart Start home for the next year. Customer service was amazing and its location isn’t too far from my home.

Three times it occurred at least two times the vehicle was in the shop for over a month. The Company‘ Sappeal process for the assessments is a joke. Based off my experience, my opinion that this company is just money, hungry money, greedy.

I don't love paying for a breathalyzer but believe one should come standard on every vehicle at purchase. Maybe we could prevent so many accidents and deaths from drunk driving incidents.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.

Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
